Very disappointed.
I just bought a brand new Okuma 14000.I was very excited to start fishing today but the bail didn’t work properly. Now I have to go thru the phone calls returns and the time I have schedule in advance is gone because my dreamed reel didn’t work right the first time. Very disapointed

Drag is good
Got to test the reel first trip with 65 lb Braid on a 200 lb Shark ( no fun ) got him up in about 20 minutes, next morning hooked up again with Shark probably about same size I just tightened the drag down and broke him off, drag locked down completely, a little hard to reel with a heavy load but did fine!

Too much handle play
Common Okuma, only one little shim and a better quality control is all that’s needed to avoid return on your reels. I used to have first generation Salina that was an absolute gem of a reel.

Perfect reel for vertical jigging ,
Perfect reel for vertical jigging , paired with a Shimano terez extra heavy 7.4 foot rod , nice and smoot drag under the pressure i just wish the handle litle longer . Its handled a 70+pound yellowfin and 6 bluefin in the first trip
