I bought two of these posts along with the bases on July 2, 2023. They were used to secure sunshades under hot Airzona sun. By August both posts were bent during a mild windstorm. See picture. I reached out to the company on September 3, 2023, then again a month later inquiring of their 1 year warranty, but no there were no replies. I feel I have given them ample time to respond to my inquiries (now 6 months with 3 separate inquiries) that now is the time to put a review in. The product seemed sturdy enough along with the purchased bases, however, the posts did not perform as expected. Disappointed both to the product as well as the lack of customer service. I paid well over $600 for the full setup for which I regret now.Update: I’m giving the follow up a 4 star. Though my warranty seemed to have been voided due to the size of the sail I attached to the posts, they offered me a 50% discount if I wanted to purchase new ones. I think that is fair as I unknowingly put up a larger sail than they were intended for. To be fair, they were in small prints.

We got the pole to install in one corner of our patio for our shade sail that connected to the garage and house in the other 3 corners. It worked great for a few months and then one day the aluminum at the base cracked rendering the pole useless. I reached out to Gard and Rock and they swiftly sent us parts to repair the pole. I guess we will have to be more careful about taking the sail down when it is windy. Very appreciative to Gard and Rock for standing behind the product.

I purchased these polls along with the bases to places in a corner of my backyard where my plants were overheating. I quickly found out that unless you plan to anchor these in concrete, that normal dirt will not support bases that support these polls. Our daily wind gusts would have the shade sail whipping around as well as these polls leaning heavily to the side. I really wanted it to work- this was the cheaper option to having something built. But the poles are way too heavy to support the sail, in a base located in the dirt. I returned the bases and poles and learned of the restocking fee. Be aware that there is a 20% restocking fee if these do not work for you.
