Yes, they have "Made in Italy " written on the blade and we are very happy with them. I have one since 1992 and it still cuts better than any other knife. Never sharpened.

Tips are rounded, exactly as you see. I've been using knives Judy like these since I was a kid; usually had To wait until a relative went to visit Italy and came back with them.
