Purple Leaf Customer Service Review
I am actually writing a review of the Purple Leaf Customer Service. I had ordered this umbrella. I decided I wanted a different product. I tried to cancel my order with Amazon but was told it was to late and I would have to work directly with Purple Leaf Customer Service. I contacted customer service and they had already shipped my order. Customer service asked why I wanted to cancel my order. Upon explaining my issue they offered me a reduced price to keep the item. I refused their generous offer and said I wanted to return the product. Purple Leaf made arrangements to return the product, paid the shipping. cost and gave me a full refund. I then ordered a different umbrella from Purple Leaf. I am so thankful to Purple Leaf for the way they worked to resolve my issue.

Does not come with a base!!!!! EDITED.
I looked again and didn't see anywhere that it does not come with the base!!! Now I have to spend another $200 just to get a base so I can even set it up. Pictures sure show it with the base. I am contemplating sending it back.Edit..... After posting my review I was contacted by PURPLE LEAF who offered to make it right. After a few days a new weighted base was delivered. Now my umbrella is up and all is right with the world! Great umbrella and great shade! Giving it 5 stars for sure! Would give it more if I could. Customer service is outstanding.

My Umbrella is Bigger!
It's BIGGGGGG! This umbrella is bigger then the one I have for my koi pond. Absolutely need to make sure everything is out of the way when opening. My 12x14' deck is a little small and hits the railings. Only thing I would recommend is having two tie backs for upper and bottom of the umbrella. Wasps were already making a nest sneaking up the pollen. Material is thick, value for money paid and easily put together. Make sure you have a small rachet set for tighten of screws.

Highly Recommend!
Highly recommend this product! It is so sturdy and it blocks our whole patio. What I love is you can move it up and down left and right to be able to block the sun at all times. We had it out all summer long and there was no color fade. The bag that goes over the umbrella is super easy and anyone can put it on. At first I was like how am I going to get this over the umbrella I'm to short, but there is a metal piece in the lining that you hold and the bag just wraps right around easy peasy .

So much shade!!!!
I put up this umbrella last week for our above ground pool and it has helped so much with blocking the sun. I do recommend ordering the weighted piece, if not, I used 4 sand bags and there are holding it down. It is so wonderful to have a shade in the pool and also on the outside. I will be ordering another one for the other side

Great customer service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I purchased this umbrella for my backyard. Unfortunately, the product didn’t quite match my expectations in terms of design and overall quality—However, I have to highlight the exceptional customer service I received. After I shared my concerns and left my contact information, the seller reached out promptly and was incredibly helpful and professional. Their support really made a difference, and I appreciate how they handled the situation. While the product wasn’t a perfect fit for me, the customer service alone deserves five stars!

Very fine umbrella, but lousy installation structions
This is a beautiful, well-made umbrella. We got it to replace a 10 x 10 canopy whose frame was destroyed in a windy thunderstorm -- the fourth such canopy we had over the years. We finally decided we needed a different method to shade our patio and keep the western sun out of our eyes while eating dinner on the patio. We didn't want to go with a permanently covered patio (which would block much-needed sun in the winter). So we decided that this large, maneuverable umbrella would be a very good alternative solution. It looks like we made an excellent choice.I can't yet comment on the umbrella's durability since we just got it, but it looks well-constructed enough that it's built to last quite some time. Years, I hope. (Given the price, that will be nice!)The frame is sturdy, the mechanisms for raising it and tilting it seem equally hardy, and the waterproof fabric is thick and, well ... waterproof! But I have one serious beef. This took MUCH longer to put together than it should have because the instructions are really lacking. As you know, the water tank base (which you DO NEED) must be bought separately, and there' a separate instruction booklet (2 pages) that comes with that. However, nowhere in either the umbrella instructions or the water/sand tank instructions does it tell you anything about how you need to position the tanks. Or whether it's best to try to fill them after you've set up the umbrella or before. The proper positioning of the tanks allows the foot pedal that control the umbrella tilt to operate. But at first glance it's hard to tell how those tanks should be positioned. (I filled them first, and put them as near the umbrella base a possible, but they're very heavy, so moving them takes strength-- particularly if you're a woman, and an older woman, as I am. I did position them wrongly, initially, so had to backtrack and partly unscrew the umbrella base in order to get them back out of position and turn them 45 degrees, and re-lift them into their new position.Secondly, the umbrella cross base parts (which fit into the water tank slots) don't look anything like pictured, so I at first thought they were missing. Fortunately, they were not. Also, the instructions for matching holes in several parts of the vertical posts are ambiguous, as there are many more holes than just the two they imply. Had I known all this ahead of time I could have cut the installation time by at least half.It would also have been very helpful for some instructions regarding how to position the umbrella. That may seem like a no-brainer, but it's difficult to tell ahead of time who the actual very heavy umbrella with its mechanisms, etc., is going to be positioned on the base pole so that it faces like you want it to. Moving it after the fact is almost impossible for one person, and difficult even with two. This CAN be put together by one person -- except for the final lifting of the umbrella itself, sliding it's pole onto the pole on the base. The nine-foot umbrella with all its hardware is amazingly heavy (and top heavy, which creates instability when lifting it). You have to lift it a good four feet to get it onto the base pole, so to do that it takes either one very strong person (with upper body/arm strength), or two people (which they recommend).
