Very good tasting, close to the original taste

The outside wrapper had a little bit of a greasy bacon smell, and it wasn't as fresh as Salami from a European deli, but it was good after taking off the paper and considering there's not a European deli close to my house. So this Salami is good for someone who doesn't live close to a European deli. It's way better than American Salami sold in the grocery store.

Authentic Hungarian salami
Apparently authentic Hungarian salami contains an inordinate amount of sodium nitrite?? I know, I know: there are nitrate/nitrite phobes aplenty, but I'm not one of them. That said the nitrite taste is overpowering and distracts from the taste of the product. Nitrites impart a bright-red meaty color and a strong umami taste. I wonder if reducing them would still maintain authenticity of this product.

A bit pricey, but nice smokey flavor. Does not quite compete with the Téli from Hungary, but pretty close.

Decent salami but doesn’t taste like true Hungarian salami
This is not a bad salami, but it really doesn’t taste much like true Hungarian salami. If you’re familiar with Hungarian salami, and that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll be disappointed.

It didn't even smell right. I love teliszalami, from Hungary. This was disappointing.
