Fit perfect and works amazing. Cleared heavy overgrowth without any problems.

The installation was relatively easy. I did not put on the safety guard because the directions were bad. My son helped me put on the nut to hold the blade on. Wow! My string trimmer would never have cleared my yard of the vines and bushes. This thing sliced and diced its way through. I really like Ego products. I bought another string trimmer just so I don't have to swap the blade and trimmer head. I now have a dedicated weed hog. I was going to rent a gas powered weed hog for ~$100 but in the long run I will have saved time and money.

Up until this point I would’ve promoted the ego weed whip over and over again. I love it so much that I bought this product and when it arrived, it did not fit. We called the Support line and they said it wasn’t made for ours even though it claims it does in the product description, I am incredibly disappointed in this company may have to start looking for a different brand. They do not have an email so I could talk to the ego people through email. I prefer this because it is difficult for me to understand accent and for them to understand me.

A few years back we purchased a EGO POWER+ Multi-Head system consisting of 10" pole saw and 15" string trimmer. They've been good performers. Recently my wife asked me to clear out a large tangle of nasty vines that have taken over part of our back yard. Rather than hack away at the mess, I took a chance and purchased this ABB1203-1 Commercial Metal Blade Combo Kit hoping it would fit the STA1500 trimmer head. I am pleased to report that both the blade and the guard fit perfectly (although the included quick release handle does not fit as it was designed specifically for the commercial unit). The metal blade made quick work of the vines. I'm so pleased with this setup that I plan on purchasing a 2nd string trimmer head so that I can just swap out whichever head I need for the task at hand.

As several others have posted, fit's the STA1500 perfectly. I also have the STA1500SF, which it does not fit (not that I expected it to). It's nice it comes with the large guard, as this can be used with the blade or the trimmer head. The standard guard that comes with the STA1500 is way too small and pretty useless.Also, I wasn't sure about how this blade would work since you see so many of the toothed blades out there. However, this works fine and is super easy to sharpen, as opposed to the toothed blades. Overall, very happy.

Received my STA1500 and this ABB1203-1 yesterday and within minutes was hacking through the brush on our property. It smoothly cuts through small bushes and bamboo and is incredibly satisfying to use. I cleared about an acre on a single battery and I tired out well before the equipment did. I'm buying a replacement blade just to have one, not because I don't think the blade will last, but because I want to make sure I can use this for the next 10 years in case they become unavailable. It's my new favorite tool.

Fits the non-commercial EGO STA1500 perfectly and cut through thick honeysuckle like a string trimmer does through grass, made clearing some heavily overgrown areas far easier than I was expecting.
