The battery arrived within the time promised and here in the backwater sat Cle Elum, WA that usually means Speedy Delivery! I ordered on Jan 3rd and received on Jan 7th. After I received it I charged it up, then put it in my camera's little spare pocket and let it sit until today Jan 16th. I turned on my Sony DISC-W150 and checked that original battery that came with the camera and it showed that it was fully charged, which was good since I hadn't used it since I last charged it. Then I shut it off, put in my new STK NP-BG1 battery turned it on and I got a full charge indication icon graphic plus, are you ready?, just to the right of the battery graphic I I saw a readout that said 162 Min. I changed out the battery's again, but did not see the readout on my original battery. I swapped the batteries again and I saw a readout that said 160 Min. Now as I type this it says 152 Min. I'm not sure what that means, but the battery is working well and all functions of my camera work. After I changed my picture size from 5 Meg to 3 Meg the readout went to 165 Min. I suppose I will need to read and digest the instructions (again).I battery has a paper cover as opposed to a metal cover like the Sony, but other than that it fits and works fine. I would buy from this retailer again.The price really sweetens the pot! Better than half price.

I had some minor fit issues when using the original Sony battery charger. A little trimming with a sharp blade corrected it. Battery is functioning well and holds a charge like you would expect.8/2013 update - I have had one of the batteries fail after very light use, perhaps 3 charge cycles. Charger starts to blink within moments of charge cycle. Battery has less than 1/2 volt evident. 2 other identical batteries purchased at same time from same vendor are still functional. I called the vendor SterlingTek (number is on the battery, left a message with the order number and went on vacation. Less than a week later there is a new battery on my doorstep - via FedEx no less and no charge. Can't get better service than that. They didn't even ask for the old battery back! New battery is working fine. I do recommend having more than one battery or at least some form of backup, but I can also recommend this vendor, SterlingTek. Rating goes to 5 stars.

I have a Sony dsc-hx9v. Bought one of these batteries June 4 as a spare, battery skin was all white and came with a plastic protective case (not a big deal but handy for your pocket). I've used that battery for 3 months, works great, 1600ma and shows actual time remaining rather than bars. I'm going camping, so ordered 4 more batteries which arrived today as expected (thanks Amazon). Their skins are white and orange as pictured currently in this ad, 1600ma, show time remaining, but NO protective plastic case. So far, they seem to charge OK in my camera and/or the $15 STK charger. Because I walk around in the forest looking for bigfoot and sometimes need to change my camera battery on the go, remove 1 star for no plastic case. I expect these 4 new batteries to work as good as the first I bought. I'll update this review if there's any operation problems. Once again, the battery I got in June has been rock solid for 3 months of constant use, so recommend this as a reliable replacement for Sony.

I ordered this just before a sea world/Disneyland vacation when I discovered that the local stores didn't stock this battery. I got overnight shipping and it arrived as promised. I was very pleased as it lasted most of the day even with hd video recording. I purchased two and they both performed very well. I can't believe what an exceptional value these batteries are. They are definitely longer lasting than the Sony battery was when it was new. They fit the camera, dsc hx5v, perfectly. The battery is a little snug in Sony charger but it comes out with just a firm pull. Five stars for great shipping and a product that works flawlessly. I have used and recharged them about 10 times total so I can't address longevity.

Bought this because after many years the original battery has died. As I use my phone for most pictures, I've passed this older camera on to my two year old son to play with. As such, I figured why waste the money on a branded battery if this works just as well. If not, oh well.As it turned out, this battery works great.Someone had mentioned that the battery got stuck in their charger - I too have found that the battery is just a little bit larger than the original, but was able to get it out of the charger without too much trouble. It doesn't feel as heavy, which might be a downside, but honestly it just makes the camera itself a little bit lighter and works just as well. Have only charged it twice - will update in the future if anything changes.

When shopping for a replacement battery, here were my choices:1) Proprietary Sony battery that I felt was overpriced.2) Knock offs that tried to copy the look of the Sony battery. I thought that was pretty cheesy.3) This generic aftermarket battery.I had never heard of this before but what won me over was the "Fulfillment by Amazon" feature.I have had to return only two of my many Amazon purchases.The product sold by Amazon couldn't be easier to exchange.When you deal with outside merchants, you are taking a chance.No big deal with a book, but with anything fragile or electronic, you are at the mercy of the seller's return policies.Knowing that Amazon would ship and process any returns gave me the confidence to purchase this product even though there were only several reviews.The battery shipped quickly via UPS even though I chose the slowest shipping.Charged up fine and working great.Very happy with this purchase!
