Review of Samsung 980 NVME
The Samsung 980 NVMe SSD is a popular solid-state drive that has received positive feedback from many users. According to a review by Tom’s Hardware, the Samsung 980 is an inexpensive M.2 SSD that lacks DRAM, but it packs the company’s fastest flash yet. It has been praised for its competitive performance, large and fast-recovering dynamic SLC cache, attractive design, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, software package, and 980 Pro-like endurance and 5-year warranty. However, it has been noted that the write speeds slow down after the SLC cache fills up.The Samsung 980 is powered by the company’s V6 V-NAND and an efficient DRAMless controller that first debuted in the Portable SSD T7 Touch. This mix of hardware promises fast PCIe Gen3 performance and respectable endurance ratings.Overall, the Samsung 980 NVMe SSD is a reliable and high-quality solid-state drive that can help improve your computer’s performance. If you are looking for a solid PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD that offers excellent performance and affordability, then the Samsung 980 is definitely worth considering.

Amazing
The Samsung 980 500GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD is a great upgrade if you want faster storage without spending a ton. It’s super quick, with read speeds up to 3500 MB/s and write speeds up to 3000 MB/s, so everything from booting up your PC to loading games feels insanely smooth. Installing it was easy, and Samsung’s Magician software is handy for keeping it optimized. Even though it doesn’t have DRAM, the Host Memory Buffer (HMB) does a great job keeping things fast in real-world use. For the price, it’s reliable, fast, and a solid pick for anyone wanting a performance boost without going overboard.

Great quality drive
Once i found out my laptop came witha cheap unreliable drive i had to order this. These drives from Samsung are very good and powerful definitely worth the extra money as they are faster than cheaper drives which makes my boot time or my files read/write speed considerably faster

Incredible value at an Incredible cost
From the outset, the speed of this SSD took me by surprise. The advertised up to 3,500 MB/s isn't just a marketing gimmick, but a reality. It swiftly executes every command, be it moving large data files, gaming, or simply booting up the system. The lightning-fast speed is something I greatly appreciated, eliminating the waiting time that was once part of my daily routine. What truly sets this SSD apart, however, is the Samsung Magician software. The interface is user-friendly and it comes packed with features. Of particular note was the ability to adjust over provisioning, which allows to me reclaim more of my space and bring it closer to the advertised amount. I found it a delight to be able to customize and manage my storage with such ease, a factor that brings me great peace of mind. But where it truly shines, beyond its impressive performance and software, is its affordability. Priced at only £39.99 when on sale, it truly is an incredible bargain.

Good value workhorse SSD
I ordered this with the advice that it was on a 3 day turnaround for delivery and most surprisingly it turned up the following morning.I purchased it to replace my old 1Tb mechanical OS drive. As the original drive had a Windows 10 installation that weighs in at 265Gb with various apps and wotnot, and was taking upwards of 2 minutes to boot, I wanted something that would give me room for expansion and faster loading times. My motherboard is a slightly older model that supports M.2 nve drives and it took a bit of fiddling to work out which slot the drive was supposed to be fitted in but after about an hour and half of messing about and playing with the BIOS settings, I had it installed, and was already using the Samsung Magician software to update the firmware and install the drivers for the SSD and start the migration process.Moving the OS to the new drive was a piece of cake. Once finished I just changed the boot order and restarted from the new SSD. Boot times were infinitely better than the mechanical HDD; around 25 seconds (to be expected) and this far I am more than satisfied with the performance. It's possible to tweak the performance further via the Samsung Magician software but you do so at the expense of storage space (cautious estimates are around 10% space loss).Whilst I'm knowledgeable about such things, I'm not going to put things like read write speeds and all the other IT mumbo jumbo that bamboozles the common man and gets the geeks hard. Suffice to say, this is a good, affordable drive packed with a decent warranty, easy to fit and transfer data from a big name manufacturer.

Amazing Speeds and Price for the Performance
Firstly the 1TB capacity of the Samsung 980 provides ample space to store your operating system, programs, games, and files. It strikes a balance between affordability and storage capacity, making it a practical choice for most users. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or simply someone who demands high-speed storage, the Samsung 980 meets your needs without breaking the bank.Installing the Samsung 980 is a breeze, thanks to its M.2 form factor and NVMe interface. However, it would have been convenient if the package included the M.2 screw required for installation. Despite this minor inconvenience, the Samsung 980 remains an accessible option for users of all experience levels. In my opinion, the Samsung 980 is a reliable and high-performing SSD that offers impressive speeds and a generous 1TB capacity. Its easy installation process, coupled with its affordable price point, makes it an attractive choice for those looking to upgrade their storage without compromising on performance.

Very fast SSD
It's a very good SSD and it's also so cheap as well, I already had a previous SSD which was a firecuda 510 series but that was beyond repair so I already had a screw for it and I just used one of my dad's screwdrivers so if you don't have those I suggest you add those to your order as well otherwise you won't be able to put it in however a screw normally comes in your motherboard box if not you will have to order one.
