I love it!
I love the watch! Extremely comfortable! Love the color and the function of the watch. I use it for heart rate, and steps. Also it pings my anxiety attacks n tells me to calm down. Battery life is about a week before i have to charge it.

Honestly, love this watch!
I have good luck with refurbished items, and this Garmin was no exception.Like so many others, these sports watches generally give me a rash. After a few years of trying off brands (I had the old school Fitbit HR, but it only lasted a year), I decided to "splurge."First, this watch feels amazing. No more rash! Steps appear more or less accurate (I'm not hardcore with accuracy since nothing is perfect). Sleep might be a little off (I know I wake up a lot during the night and do a lot of tossing and turning), but again, none of us should expect perfection. While I haven't yet resumed running, I hope to soon, and, as strange as this sounds, I think Ms. Garmin will help get me on track again.Love the get moving, the ability to track my water intake, the ease of seeing the time, and I was able to upload my own photo! As far as battery life, I haven't yet let it get below 30%, but considering I use the GPS, it's at least three days. There are still some things I need to learn with the watch, but I think I found my "it" watch!

I was hoping it would be easier to use
I like the color but it is confusing to use

Works great!
I was a little skeptical about buying a reconditioned watch, but I have not been disappointed. About 30 minutes after I set it all up, it seemed to stop working, and I thought, "Great. As expected. " But I took it off and left it alone overnight and tried again the next morning; it worked fine, as it had needed to do some updates, and has been very reliable since. The band is comfortable and does not irritate my skin, like some silicone bands do. I mainly bought it to track my steps. When you pair it with the Garmin iConnect IQ app, there are a ton of cool watch faces to save, many of which are free, and it's very simple to switch the face on the watch itself. I highly recommend this watch, even for folks who aren't super tech savvy, like myself.

My wife loves it.
All Garmin products seem to be very good, I have GPSs for my car, bike and airplane. It is too bad not all the watch apps are free.

Solid but not ideal
Note that this review refers to a refurbished unit. This watch has a nice and durable construction. The color is good, and the watch has a premium feel. However, it's not for everyone. Though it is primarily a health watch, there are some flaws within its design. Some basic functions didn't work half the time, such as receiving texts from phone when the phone is nearby. From my experience, the GPS accuracy is surprisingly dubious and inconsistent when compared to the Asics Runkeeper app, even with dual band GPS activated. The worst part about it are the two main apps that connect it to the phone. Content from the IQ Connect app would be on constant queue, even though the main Connect app itself is working. In my case, I needed to use the computer to completely remove these forever-queued widgets/apps/data fields, as well as finalize the updates. With basic functions, there would be significant delays when reacting to screen input (this happened even after a few resets). Even though this is not the Music Edition, which can pair to a Bluetooth device, it would have been nice to have a microphone option to speak into the watch for a call or a reply in the case of having the phone in your pocket during a jog in rainy weather. Otherwise, the watch is nice and durable, and resists bumps and scratches pretty well. Perhaps if the unit were not refurbished, it would have less of the described issues. Consider upgrading to the new model and the Music Edition (Sq2).

Perfect fitness watch
The media could not be loaded. I previously had the Garmin forerunner 35 and loved how it was full of unnecessary features like an Apple Watch. Although, I loved that watch, I wanted to get something newer and more modern. After purchasing the Garmin Venu sq i immediately fell in love. This watch is the perfect balance and update from my forerunner 35.This watch is very easy to use and I was able to quickly set it up in my Garmin connect app. The battery life is amazing even with it having a colored display. The purple color way is beautiful and is not too bright to where it stands out but is balanced with a nice flat look.

Very inconsistent
I bought a recertified watch thinking it would work. It seemed fine in the beginning. It looked like it was recording data correctly. I loved the watch at first. Then suddenly my data changed. It was recording hundreds of calories less per day suddenly without any change in activity. The data about my workouts changed. My heart rate was inconsistent, especially during workouts. It would not record strength training exercises. I would do multiple exercises and my watch would only register one exercise. Many times it wouldn't record any movements. My exercise sessions went from burning 225 calories to 140 calories without a change in activity. It was recording GPS activity when I was sitting still while I was recording sitting in a sauna. Then suddenly the watch disconnected from my phone. I had to shut off my phone and the watch multiple times. I contacted Garmin and the rep blamed my phone. After that the phone disconnected multiple times per day.The last straw was this morning when I checked my sleep data. Nothing was recorded. I relied on the watch to track my sleep. That was one of the main reasons I bought the watch.I did not buy the watch to help me with a new program. I already had habits in place. I use LoseIt! And I exercise regularly. I did get some good data from the watch but do not want to keep an inconsistent piece of equipment that is giving me bad data. If I want another watch I will definitely avoid a recertified watch. I know others who have watches that work which were purchased new.I'm looking forward to getting my money back and not feeling disappointed multiple times a day. If the watch is this bad so soon after purchasing it it has to go back.
