Scratch Doctor Black Fabric Dye | Permanent Liquid Paint (1000ml)

My cushions look like new

I used this to dye 3 large natural jute baskets.It’s very liquid, like ink rather than paint, so it soaked in easily when applied with a brush. I had to give each basket 3 coats to get a dense black but this may have been because of the hairy texture of the jute twine and I did apply each coat quite lightly. I found it went a long way and I had plenty left over.

The media could not be loaded. Update below -I saw a few mixed reviews which I now don't understand. This was/is super easy to use! My sofa is large and has over 20 cushions so I'll have to order more but I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone! WOW!..Update! This dried a horrible dark grey :(

Better than a spray but not perfect

Ok I bought this to up cycle armchair that ended in bin when I finished using this. It dries crusty and makes the material very uncomfortable, scratchy. I took a risk which ended up costing me to buy new armchair. Sometimes you have to take a risk, might work for what you're looking for

Painted faded black car seats with amazing results. Applied using a dish washing sponge with a mixture of 100mls dye and 25 ml booster solution. With one coat the fabric went from horrid purple to a deep rich black. The fabric was soft to the touch after painting and did not damage the Porsche decal within the weave of the fabric. See photo of seats before and after one coat. Would highly recommend this product.

Have purchased this brand several times now as it is the best fabric paint/dye I have found, covers well, easy to apply, great even results and the finished article looks like new. I would highly recommend this product.

This product is amazing! My daughter’s bed isn’t that old but she wanted to change her colour scheme. Was dubious at first but the results are just perfect
