Ruggedbooks' Refurbished Panasonic CF-54 is an Excellent Value
Before retiring last year, I had used Panasonic Toughbooks for over 10 years as a police officer, mostly the CF-31 Model, which were permanently mounted in my department's vehicles. These Toughbooks were remarkably tough, holding up very well in harsh conditions: extreme heat and cold, physical bouncing around, and not always the cleanest conditions. Based on their remarkable durability, I decided I was going to get one, one day. I have owned at least six laptops in my lifetime, and at least three suffered some kind of physical damage, because well, most laptops and hard flooring surfaces do not mix well.I settled on a refurbished CF-54 after doing extensive research and kicking the different models around in my head for a few weeks. I took a chance on this refurbished model, specifically from RuggedBooks. Prior to this, I was 1 for 2 in buying refurbished computer equipment here on Amazon. My Toughbook arrived in a timely fashion and was well-packaged by Ruggedbooks for the trip. Unboxing and powering up were a breeze. The condition really is like new. The outer casing has a couple of small nicks in it which were to be expected. The screen, keyboard, and mouse are 99% perfect. The only issue I have found while operating it is an occasional creaking noise in the keyboard, but then my wife got on, started typing, and there was no creaking. The CF-54 can still be found in brand new condition for about $900 more than I spent on this one. I'd rather use that money for other things. Overall, I am very satisfied. And, I'd like to give a special shout out to Gavan at Ruggedbooks (www.ruggedbooks.com) who helped me make final decision between the CF-54 and the CF-53 just before making my purchase.

I think its better to add original pictures of the laptop.
I didn’t like the mouse pad had air bubble on one of the corners where a cover was place, also on the left side of the camera there was a plastic cover for the screws that was loose.
