This is a great little thermos that has proven itself useful for my kid's school lunches (so much, that I have bought one for each child.) Every Thursday my kids are unhappy with the school lunch options and only request SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS. So, every Thursday I get up a few minutes earlier to prepare the lunch for my tiny tyrants. I can't imagine eating cold meatballs...so that is where this thermos has saved the day. Every Thursday.This thermos does what is should and is super effective at keeping hot foods hot. I have found the key to keeping everything hot is preheating the thermos by filling it with boiling water and letting it sit for five minutes or ten minutes to capture the heat before dumping the water out and adding the food. That way the metal doesn't seep the heat from the food. This little step makes all the difference! When lunchtime rolls around, my kids are thrilled to dig into their perfectly heated pasta.However, while the thermos keeps their meals warm for hours, I have noticed that the lid can be a bit tough for little hands to unscrew. Just a tip: be careful not to over-tighten it! With a gentle hand, my kids can manage it just fine. (Or ask a teacher or strong friend for help.)The spoon is a clever idea, but I hate seeing white plastic dirty (I feel like I can never get it properly clean and it is always stained with spaghetti sauce) so I typically just throw in a spoon/fork from home and hope they don't use the white one that comes with. But if they do, no worries.Overall, this thermos is a fantastic investment for families who want to serve a hot lunch...a few hours later. Five stars for its excellent heat retention and the joy it brings to my kids on Thursdays around noon

Small but keeps things hot all day long!

Doesn't hold the food warm enough even after 2 hours. I was informed that I need to add hot water in it before I add the food but it still didn't last long.

My daughter's lunch box fell out of our car and my husband ran over her lunch box and this thing held up but the bag was torn by it. There was barely a dent on it or anything just some scrapes and a tiny didn't perhaps. They keep food warm and fit in my daughter's lunch box because of how tiny they are but they're not thin so keep that in mind. But I think it's better that they're not thin because the wide opening makes it easier to put food in so it's a good design and easy to use. Great value for the money.

Keeps spaghettios warm for 5 hours! My kid is extremely happy and tells me, “ dad, my food was still warm!” I would highly recommend it.

As you would expect from a Thermos brand, the jar keeps food hot , at least for 4 hours, and my child is always pleased with the temperature of food at lunch time. It is attractive, easy to use and importantly, easy to clean.
