Very nice quality machete. It's sturdy but with a little flex to avoid breaking when chopping bigger pieces of wood. It comes dull but not too bad, just use a rotary tool like a dremel, a C clamp or 2 and be careful to not injured yourself but try to maintain the same angle keeping the slant flat because an uneven rounded slant will not be very good.

This is a serious hacking/slashing tool. It comes with a big burr from the factory grinding, so grab a file and take it off. Then use it!I spent a couple of hours going through massive blackberry brambles and some smaller branches. After watching me at work, a neighbor told me he wasted his time and money using big pruning shears on his bramble patch. This machete moves through one inch brambles like they are butter! I also used it to pry thick bark off old rounds and a stump.No, the edge doesn't last forever. This isn't fine French cutlery, it's a good, solid tool, and it takes and gives a beating. It's good to take a break and sharpen it once an hour. Takes a few minutes, and then it's good to go.
