More appropriate would be ECT or edge crush test. These are industry standard 32/ECT LBS PER SQ IN. Burst test applies to flexible packaging. You will find some boxes rated burst test, but it's not standard. You can read about it here - there's an example of burst test on a box, BUT technically it's a crush test. https://www.astm.org/Standards/F2054.htm

You can do both but we recommend if you are putting heavy product in the boxes to use tape which we also sell.
