does lighter colours get a brownish stains on the edges after many uses?

The lighter colors tend to eventually leave a dull greyish color on the surface of the mat where your hands and feet spend most of their time. Not because you're dirty but because the body's oils and dead skin cells will slough off. Unless you plan to scrub the mat rigorously after every use, I'd stick to a darker color.

I'm 5'9 what length would be good for me to purchase?

I'm 5'5 and I have just enough room (about 2" on either end) as I lay in Savasana (corpse pose at the end). I would go with the longer mat if I were you, but that's a personal preference. You would fit on the regular mat (71"), it would just take some adjusting as you recline. I find I move around on my mat enough from pose to pose that I like a little wiggle room.

Does this mat not work well with yogitoes? I have 4 yogitoe towels and definitely don't want to have to purchase a different towel to go with this mat if I decide to purchase if!?

I have read if I scrub Sea Salt on my new mat it will cut down the new oil on my PROlite considerably. No sun here and cold outside. Can I still?

If possbile pour the sea salt into a pot with water and warm the water dont boil it. Dissolve the salt so it looks like sand then using a rag or sponge gently clean the mat in a cicular motion. With a dry towel wipe off excess water and let dry on a flat surface. Dont scrub with sea salt that is too grainy it will scratch and scuff your matt.

Not bad for tge price.

I went for the light purple because it was half price, but I wish I haven't done that. It can get dirty easily (too light)The thing that really annoyed me is a small crack right in the middle before even getting to use it.But for the price, it is not bad. It is heavy and I like it.As for the grip, I don't sweat a lot, and it is brand new, so the grip is manageable. I am hoping it will break in soon.
