So the after photos were taken literally after I washed it twice and blow-dried it. I left the dye on for a little over 2 hours. I know the package says not to use shampoo on the first wash but I did because my hair felt really chalky afterwards. If you really want your color to last you use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner! Also if you want to get the stains off of your scalp you can use equal parts of baking soda and dish soap and a toddler toothbrush and scrub lightly on your scalp (That's on the actual splat website). I bought two boxes but ended up only using one which is great because then I can use that box for next time!(I have VERY thick hair). Will update again in a couple of weeks!!

First time dying my own hair but loved how the color turned out

Exactly what I wanted. I have pretty dark brown hair and I didn’t expect it to take from past experience with other colored dyes. I left it on for one hour. I would definitely recommend having someone else apply the dye because it runs/bleeds really badly. I don’t think I could’ve done it by myself. Also, apply Vaseline like the instructions say- definitely do not skip this step. Also would not recommend washing out in the shower- it will stain. But the color is so beautiful and green dye is hard to find so I’d definitely recommend this. Also, it smells SO good!

Hey, I'm a guy comfortable in his sexuality but generally conservative in my choices. It took me some time but I decided top dye my hair deep forest green. I did the bleach thing last week and this weekend was the big plunger Product applied very easily and it appeared very dark green on my head. As soon as I started rinsing it out I noticed the blue/turquoise stains on my hands, sink, tub. This stuff was coloring everything it touched. The problem I found is that the color it leaves behind is turquoise, NOT midnight emerald. There is NO green, it's all turquoise. Yay, Now I'm the guy with unicorn hair! I'm generally not pleased at all and I rate this a zero for overall satisfaction. The categories it did ask me to rate were longevity, ease of use, and scent. Not how well did it work. Don't buy this or you will be a Smurf!

The color payoff on my very dark brown hair was amazing!!!!However this literslly stained everything. My bathtub STILL looks like a murdered a smurf. I think it always will. Took a full week to come off my back. It also took 4 shampoos that night to wash all the dye out.PLEASE follow the instructions exactly! Don’t be like me.My hair look great though ;)
