The colors are a vast improvement on other liquid food coloring, especially if you are making something like royal icing for decorating cookies, which is what I do. Since these gel colorings can be expensive, I found this small multi-pack to be a cost-effective way to stock my pantry and give me a decent variety of colors to work with. There are a lot of tutorials online to tell you how to color your frosting, but I will mention that a little can go a long way..especially if you cover your frosting, throw it in the refrigerator, and give time for the color to work its way through. That will help give you an even color, and prevent you from using too much, which doesn't help you, and can impact the taste of your frosting. I have used these colors to make and mix light pastel colors for Easter. To control the amount of coloring, I dipped a toothpick into the gel, then used it to stir the portion of frosting to be colored. You can always add more coloring later...it is much harder to back it off. Just be patient, as you have to be all details of royal icing decorating, and you will get great results. A good friend decorates amazing cookies, and it was her that turned me on to this brand. She won't use anything else, and she is right!

I am an art teacher and my main medium of choice has always been oil painting. I recently decided to try and learn how to make Royal Cookies because everyone I’ve ever had them from look great but taste horrible or is hard as a rock. I was super impressed with this coloring option. It taste great and gave great coloring appearance. I was even able to mix and blend them easily to make other colors. I use these for macarons and the colors are very pigmented. In a great way! Be careful as it’s hard to get just one drop out.One of the colors (leaf green) was broken and when I contacted the seller, they got back to me within a FEW HOURS & issued a full refund! I’m shocked as I only requested a replacement for that one color that was damaged.Will only be purchasing from them!! It’s worth the extra money. I’ve tried Wilton’s gel color and it was such a waste of money... no pigment at all.
