Holding up well
These are absolutely the cutest rain chains ever! They are also very sturdy and have held up well, even in heavy downpours. Easy to install and adjust. Everyone who sees them wants to know where I found them. I love going out on the lanai and watching them during a rain storm - very soothing!

Looks great on the house!
Looks great and works perfect during sprinkles and steady rains, but if you get a down pour the water goes all over the place!

This is beautiful!
I love this and so glad I got it. What a beautiful, functional accent to our home. It looks so pretty with the water going down it. The chain is quite sturdy.

Pretty but poor quality
i purchased these after all the positive reviews, i may be picky, but if I purchased a brass colored Item, I would expect that when it was being soldered that the solder would not be black. once they start to patina, I’m sure the black will not be as visible, but this is shiny copper at the moment with these horrible black welds.

Works well
The media could not be loaded. Works well, much nicer than a downspout, neighbors have liked it as well…

Huge seams
You can't really see in the marketing photo but the pineapple halves are misaligned on some and have huge solder seams to fill in the gaps. Kinda detracts from the rest of the chain which is pretty nice.

It's a Rain Chain Made of Copper
I have bee procrastinating putting a gutter on my front porch for several years. When I realized I did have the money to do it I pulled the trigger. When I saw the pineapple rain chain I was hooked. I then had to figure out how to attach it to my 22' gutter (which gets 400+SF of roof) without overwhelming it in Florida rain. I drilled 15 1/4" holes over the spout to restrict flow and it works great. The other end is a 4x3 downspout.I am a little disappointed in the rain chain. The pineapples are hand crafted in India and highly polished. They are made of brass tubing and re-re-re-recycled copper soldered together. Craftsmanship is acceptable at this price point. The chain is thin re-re-re-recycled copper tubing bent into shape. I am surprised it holds the weight of the whole chain. I drilled 1/16" holes into the bottom of the links to prevent them from retaining water. That was a difficult task. I shortened the links between pineapples from 6 to 4. I measured the chain and it was not 8.5' long. I got barely 8'3" out of it. Luckily I didn't need all 8.5'. I added a cup at the top to better divert water into the pineapples. I expect the pineapples to last awhile, but i am not to confident in the chain. The included hanger and hook are not copper. They are aluminum painted the color of corroded copper. Not too happy with that little bit of deception.I expect to need to remove it in very stormy weather. It does splash quite a bit (less because of the cone I added) onto the front porch column. It is less than driving rain, but I may need to repaint the CMU column a bit more often.Overall, I love the pineapples. I'm still looking for a way to terminate the chain that will not be damaged by my hose or mower or children (wishful thinking). They started weathering as soon as they were wet. The copper is developing a nice brown patina. The brass may take awhile.
