I'm disappointed that the highest rated review is a negative one. So, I wanted to provide my experience with the product.Shipping: The package arrived triple-packed. The Amazon box - standard for any Amazon purchase. Manufacturer's box - a heavy cardboard (double ply on the bottom) that fit tightly around the product box. Then, the product box itself - an attractive light pink box. Inside that, the jewelry box was wrapped in foam and supported on either end by custom cut Styrofoam. In other words, it was extremely well packed, and arrived in perfect condition. It would take significant effort to damage it in transit.Worksmanship: As the product details tell you, this sucker weighs 17 lbs. It may not be "solid wood" but it feels substantial, and the finish was even and attractive.There was no varnish smell - I took it right out of the box and put it on my dresser. The drawers slide easily, and the felt is smooth and even. The design on the ring drawer is a nice touch. Definitely does not feel or look cheap.Features: The necklace drop is a nice feature, although it's short (~11") - I ended up using it for shorter necklaces, or those I could double up. The drawers are deep enough to hold a typical jewelry story box for earrings or a ring - I have a pair of nicer earrings that I keep in their original box. Three of the small drawers are undivided, one has a divider - they all come completely out of the box. Here's why, the fold down ring holder is really neat, but it turns upside down when it's put away. I had a pin that I put into it that fell out when I closed it. It landed in the back of the box - but because the other drawers come out, it was easily retrieved. Also, this thing is HUGE. Even between all of my costume jewelry and fine jewelry, it'll take me a while to fill it. I'm happy to finally have all of my stuff in one place.Price: Given the amount of money I've spent on the contents of the box, the price seemed reasonable for a large, well thought out, well constructed, attractive storage box. it does my jewelry justice.

This is a large jewelry box that has a separate area for rings. It’s well made and pretty piece.

This lovely jewelry box was the perfect birthday gift for a beloved recipient. The wood was beautifully finished, drawers slid open smoothly, and the interior compartments were very spacious and had an expensive appearance.That said, the packaging was terrible. One outer corner of the outside shipping box was ripped open. Inside, the thin 1/4” styrofoam pieces that were to ‘protect’ the jewelry box were very inadequate, arriving cracked & broken. The blue box in which this gift was encased was very thin cardboard, cheap looking, and was so damaged that I couldn’t use it as a gift box as I had planned. I had to completely cover it with gift wrap, adhered with glue, to disguise its shabby appearance.It’s hard to believe that the company making these lovely jewelry boxes would be responsible for this awful packaging, so I presume it was contracted out. I held my breath while unpacking this gift, certain that it had been damaged. Miraculously, it survived intact. That said, I would never risk reordering this item because of the sorry packaging. What a shame, since the product is of exceptional quality.

My husband bought me this for Christmas, it's the most beautiful jewelry box I've ever seen. Craftsmanship is remarkable and it holds more than I thought. It is heavy so you know it's made out of real wood. I'm a total natural person who loves woodwork so this was perfect for me, Well worth the price, and can be passed down through generations. Plus bonus it came with free shipping and arrived before it's delivery date.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. Some friends recommended I stay away from the jewelry boxes with the necklace holders in the doors because the necklaces can get stuck in the door so I chose this one.She loves it. It has lots of room for all of her stuff with plenty of space left over for the future. The quality seems pretty good and the box looks really nice.2022 update: It often seems like most reviews are from people who just bought the product which doesn’t show longevity so I decided to update this. She has now been using this jewelry box for seven years and it has held up great. It seems like it will last many more years.

The wood is beautifully finished outside, with 2 large drawers the width of the box and 4 small drawers on the sides, plus necklace hanging hooks along the inside back side, and a pop out ring holder in the center medallion. The box is quite large with enough room for all my daily wear necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins, and rings. This is the most luxurious jewelry box I've owned, far nicer than others priced 4-5x as much. I am really amazed that such a well crafted piece is available online at this price. And it comes double boxed, on time as stated.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter and I was happy with my purchase. Great packaging for delivery. the wood is beautiful and the bigger size is perfect for all her future jewelry storage needs.
