Excellent automatic soap dispenser

We bought this soap dispenser for our kitchen hoping for a modern update. Filled it and turned it on and it worked fine for a few weeks, except that it dispenses enough soap for about 3 people. To refill the dispenser, you have to open the top (which is quite difficult to open) to access the on/off button to stop the motion sensor from dispensing more soap. So, when you want to turn it off to refill it, it is almost impossible to get it open to first turn it off, without causing the motion sensor to dispense unneeded soap which usually then drips either onto your hand or the counter or both. After a few weeks the motion sensor began acting up, doing one of several things. It would sometimes not dispense the soap at all, or it would act like it wasn't going to dispense soap and then when you pulled your hand away, the soap would then drop out and onto the counter. Then a few days after the return window closed, it all but stopped sensing your hand, rendering the soap dispenser pretty much worthless unless you care to open the top lid and dump the soap onto your hands. The final thing, and the soap dispenser is only a month or so old now, the bottom seal is coming off. So now we're stuck with a non-working soap dispenser which will probably end up in the landfill. Take my advice, DO NOT BUY THE UMBRA OTTO AUTOMATIC SOAP DISPENSER

This product sometimes takes a few tries to detect the motion and dispense soap. Also when dispensing soap, it dispenses a smaller amount than I would like, which can often mean that I try to get a few dispenses for each handwashing. I assume this designed to avoid over-dispensing but it ends up having the opposite effect. It was very easy to set up and I imagine something like this is great for kids who sometimes take way too much soap when using traditional pumps.

Nice design, but that's about it. We tried using this bottle for about a month and it is just not a good product, which is quite surprising for an Umbra product. In one month we had to change the batteries twice - it uses 4 AAs, it doesn't detect motion most of the time and when it does it pours soap very slowly and very little at a time, so you can spend about half a minute getting the soap you need.

Works fine though needed to dilute my Palmolive detergent _ it works fine now, and looks modern in my new kitchen !!!

I really liked this soap dispenser, but it stopped working after a month. The blue light still comes on but no soap comes out.

Good price and good looking but not powerful

Second attempt after return of non-working dispenser. The second one stopped working just after the return window closed.

I have been very disappointed with this product. I have followed the instructions but it is leaking. I was offered a refund but as I do not leave the house because of health reasons it was too difficult.

Es de buena apariencia y buena calidad, pero la cantidad que despacha es poca, es necesario activar el sensor 2 o 3 veces, ademas de que el sensor no siempre detecta al primer movimiento, sin dejar pasar por alto que el jabón liquido no se mantiene en la la linea por lo que es necesario activar el sensor 1 o 2 veces para comience a salir el jabón.

Desgraciadamente tire el empaque. Por lo tanto no lo puedo regresar, pero no funciona.

This item is a nifty little gift, unfortunately it does not last long and easily gets broken.
