Q: Does the charger have to be grounded?

It is not grounded to the frame, if that is what you mean. It pulls its ground from the power cord. The green wire on these is not a ground wire.Regards,Galen

Hi, If the Duracell GC8 are wet cell batteries, then Alg 1 used on Trojan will also work on the Duracell. Regards Carl
