The food rations and water have a manufacturer recommended use by date of 5 years and the hand warmers as well as water purification powder should be replaced after about 3 years, although they don't become unusable after that time just less effective.

Thanks for your inquiry. The backpack is an oversized backpack its dimensions are: 15"x10"x19.5". There are 7 zippered pockets, 3 mesh pockets, and 2 Velcro pocket on the outside of the backpack, and a Velcro pocket on the inside.

Q: Do they last 5 years from the date you receive the supplies?

Thank you for your inquiry. The SOS brand food and water have a five year shelf life from manufacture date, and other items like the light sticks, first aid kit, and batteries as they will be less effective over time, so we recommend replacing those at the same time. We do sell replacement items for when the time comes to swap out those items.

Q: what is the expired date for food and water？

Ours expire in 2025... purchased I believe in April 2020. So it's depending on when you make your purchase. I would check with the seller regarding the expiration date!☺
