it fits an apple's lighting port. so, if your samsung has that then yes. but, i don't suspect it does.

Q: In the tripod position, do the legs adjust well to an uneven surface or does it only sit well on a flat surface?

It'll sit on weird surfaces because the feet have little soft rubber shoes, and it'll hold up on uneven terrain

Q: Will this work with an iPhone XSmax

So it definitely is a bit small for the XSmax, Sometimes, i can use as a side tripod.

If the charging connector on S6 comes with USB C then it will work
