Winware Madison 8qt Full-size Chafer, Roll-top, S/S, Heavyweight, Stainless Steel

Took them out of the box and WOW.. we here amazed with the item and finish. It is well built and also heavy. but we have not tested the item with the temp on heat level stability but will test it soon.

Love, love these chafers!!! I got my first one because I thought the roll top would be more functional than the lift off lids chafers I already had. I knew it would be an attractive piece from the pictures but - WOW this thing really is gorgeous! It is very big, which makes storage a bit tricky, but this chafer is amazing and worth it! I really love how striking this chafer is - it is a velvety kind of shiny and paired with the large size it makes quite a statement. We used it for a catered Mexican dinner over Christmas and it worked amazing. Heats very quickly and keeps a nice even temperature for hours. That rolling lid is really functional - when the pace of serving slows down I can roll it closed, but people can still help themselves. SO much better than having to find a place for lids! I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to clean up. Little warm water and a microfiber cloth to dry and it was as shiny and pretty as ever! Super product, just ordered another one! Really cannot recommend this enough!!!

This beautiful Chafer has served us well over quite a few gatherings now. It is a great centerpiece to a buffet spread, making it look more elegant and put together. Stainless Steel wipes remove smudges and fingerprints for a finished look. The first one we received had a few deep scratches in it, but it was replaced with no hassle and the second one was in perfect condition. The candles are easy to put in place, to light, and to extinguish.The chafer is easy to setup and to take apart. Cleaning it is simple and it goes back into the box for a nice storage option when not in use. The roll top opens and closes smoothly without noise. Food stays hot while over the flames. We're pleased with the quality and elegance of this item.It's worth noting that you can't use wick candles here, the candle holders were meant for the flat top gel candles.

I bought both Winware's rolltop chafer (this item) and the traditional lidded Winware chafer. They are both full size (8QT). I was hoping the traditional chafer would meet my needs because it is about $100 cheaper, but alas, it looked and felt $100 cheaper. (see my review on the traditional chafer's page). The traditional chafer is OK in its style and function, but is only suitable for casual parties and family get-togethers, in my opinion. This rolltop is much, much more elegant with an awesome mirror finish, solid (heavy) construction, smooth rolling lid (so guests can open the lid and serve themselves with one hand while holding a plate with the other), and a large smooth handle that you could wrap a party-themed cloth around (like restaurants do). I have not yet used it so I have no opinion as to warming level, but I will update this if I encounter any problems with the rolltop. Also, I can't comment on whether the finish will hold up over time. Two things to take into account: This chafer is huge. Really big. I'm posting a side by side photo so you can compare. And it's heavy. Not a problem now but when I'm 80, I may need help moving this beast. (Yes, I hope I'm still partying when I'm 80!) These drawbacks don't dampen my enthusiasm because I can see that this rolltop chafer will take our buffets to the next level (or two) due to its high quality and mirror finish.

This was such a great purchase and I use it so much, I’ve purchased two and will be purchasing a third! It is durable, sleek in design and great quality. I’ve had them for several years and they don’t rust. They also are easy to clean and store! They come with a large pan or a two sectioned pan. Received several compliments!

This set functions nicely for occasional use. However, the thin metal looks like it will dent easily.

I bought two of these for a bridal shower brunch. This chafer comes with a full size 2-inch deep pan. For the 2nd chafer, I bought two 4-inch deep pans that sit side-by-side in the chafer to accommodate two different foods.Be sure to add hot water to the water bath (from a coffee/tea hotpot) prior to use which then uses less of the sterno/fuel to heat up the water. I also used foil wrap for the two 4-inch deep pans and discovered that it wasn't the best idea since the pans did not lie completely flat, so some steam escaped. Oh well, these chafers are very large and stunning with their mirror finish. The roll top is such a convenience and the water bath is a must for keeping food warm without burning the bottom of it.

This is a beautiful warmer the appearance is top of the line. What a way to enhance your food. This warmer is huge, the quality is fantastic and it’s heavy. It’s way better than the tin pan warmers. I bought this for my son’s graduation party. It added such an elegant touch. I didn’t notice any excess residual of water on the table when the warmer top was lifted. The warmer cleaned up beautifully. Make sure you have the space to store the warmer because it is big.
