Q: How many grams of coffee do I grind for the 6 cup?

About 30 grams. The person claiming 40 to 55 must have a different size or a grinder with a lot of retention.

Q: Where is it made? Is it made in Italy?

The filter parts say made in Italy, but the pot itself is a fugaze. The photo is misleading since says made in Italy on the front/outside of the pot, but in person it does not. The bottom is marked “Made in Romania by Italian design.” This is not genuine classic Bialetti sadly.

Q: Could I use the 9 cup version of Bialetti to make 6 cups or less?

Sure, you can fill it up with as much water and coffee grounds as you would like. I will say that the number of cups they consider this to make is literal cups, not coffee cups. ;)

Q: Can I make only 4 cups (or somewhere less than 6) if desired or must it be filled to its capacity in order to work properly?

The 6 cup version (I thought) would hold 6x2=12 ounces. 12 ounces is over the safety valve in the bottom chamber which is supposed to stay above the water. So the 6 cup version makes about 5 espresso cups since some of the water remains in the bottom chamber and some of it is absorbed by the grounds. Those cups are not filled to the brim.

Best coffee maker ever!

I’ve tried all sorts of coffee makers but this one just works in the simplest way. And I use it mainly when I have people over because you can make 6 coffees at once unlike regular espresso machines in this price range.
