What type of plastic is the business end made of? I need to move air containing acetone vapor/mist...Light duty work.

Use with acetone vapor is a potential fire hazard, as the pump is not designed for use with flammables. Also, the plastic bits are an ABS blend and would likely degrade quickly with prolonged acetone contact.

Can this pump pull the bubbles out of resign or epoxy?

It's not too bad for vacuum bagging but it's limited to about 19inches of mercury is about all it will pull. I could tell the difference between parts bagged with this pump vs my pump that will get up in the mid 20's. For bagging model airplanes with foam wings, it's plenty as you only need about 5 t0 7 inches. I set mine up with a vacuum switch that's adjustable and run it from a 12v power pack or a 12v battery. Well worth price if it fits your needs.

What kind of power source does this device use?

Buy a gold or platinum+ certified PC power supply with the lowest wattage output (anything else is overkill) and wire the aspirator to the +12V and Ground rails from a Molex or SATA power cable.

Is this pump safe for pulling ethanol vapor out of vaccum assist filtration system?

it is a membrane pump, so there is no spark hazard - however it is only rated for air.
