My ten year old gets profuse nosebleeds. This helped control the mess and coagulate the wound faster. Great for first aid kit. Will buy more.

I'm not sure how much there is to "love" about cotton rolls, but these met my expectations. I ordered them for my 88-year-old mom, who has problems with severe nosebleeds. She is on a blood thinner, so the nosebleeds are often difficult to control. Her doctor recommends that she insert a couple of these against her gums to put some pressure on her nasal cavity. I also purchased some cold packs that she can put on the bridge of her nose. My dentist gave me a couple of these to try to use them for bloody nosesHe explained to me that when you get a bloody nose you stuff one of these in your upper lip as far up and as tight as you can get it and the bleeding will eventually stopThey worked so well that i had to purchase more and put them into the first aide kit

Not as absorbent as I hoped

I got a nosebleed so i stuck one of these in my nose for the first time and I thought it was working. 20 minutes later I keep having blood go down my throat and pouring out the other nostril. When I took this plug out it was like a waterfall of blood and clots from both nostrils. The plug hadn't expanded and barley had any blood on it almost as if it was coated with a liquid resistant.Still need a napkin and a pinch of both nostrils to stop the bleeding.

These are the same Dental Cotton Rolls that my Dentist uses so was confident they would come up to my expectation which they did. Would definitely recommend buying them and also recommend the seller.

I realize it clearly lists 50 and I got 50 but dont have a picture of a bag with 6 packs of them in there. Thats just misleading.

These seem stiff but there's no doubt moisture softens them up; medium size is a small enough to not be uncomfortable under the lip (cheek and gum). Sanitary packaging: fast shipping. Kind of expensive for what one gets but these are not available at local drugstores: they aren't as pricey as dicing tampons to fit the directive.
