Q: Is this "l'intense" version the closest formulation to the original, stronger la nuit de l'homme (2009ish), or is it a different scent?

It is not the original, I got scammed as well . Many of the suppliers on Amazon use pictures of the old/original La Nuit De L’homme. I was very angry when I got the new version. In order to return it they charge a substantial restocking fee. This should not be allowed in America, it is criminal .
