Hatch now stays up
Replaced on rear hatch of 2004 Touareg. Hatch now stays up. Maybe too well, if that's possible: a lot of tension when closing. VW should add a strap for short people, but that's another matter. Little bit of work getting the inside trim removed in order to install, but that's the price of having a fancy car.

Just one fitted, the other one don't.
I could just install the right side, the left side dosent fit.

Worked perfect for 2006 Touareg
Hatch now easily fully opens after cracking it open. Old struts had broken springs. Glad to finally not hit my head on the hatch anymore.
