This is a great Bible for journaling and reading. I use the margins for prayer and notes. The binding could be a little more consistent but that may be due to the size. Overall I love it!

First, the shipping was lightening fast and the bible showed up exactly as portrayed on the Amazon page. The quality of the leather is good and the color is a rich coffee color. The text is clear and is easy to read. Can't wait to dive into reading this new bible.

Few things I wanted to mention that I was wondering when buying this book.- This is in fact the 9.5 font version, not the 7-7.5 font.- The color is dark brown, as you can see on the first picture (compare it to my black keyboard in the background)- the binding allows for the book to lay flat almost anywhere in the Bible. Without applying any effort at all, I was able to have the book lay open starting halfway through genesis and ending somewhere in revelations. This is the nice property of all bovine and goat leather bindings. (This won’t happen with Genuine leather, which is pig)P.S. - you might be able to see the cream color of pages in the photo. It’s nice.

This is a beautiful bible and Exactly what I wanted. What I received had tabs for every book of the bible which was not in the images or description. To make matters worse, IT IS USED. The previous owner of the bible wrote his name in the space, "this bible belongs to ....". So I assume he added the tabs. How in the world did this happen? I am considering reordering thinking surely I will get a new bible, but only if I can't find the exact bible from another vendor.

Buffalo leather ESV Bible.Overall I’m very pleased.Font size is large enough for me, I wear reading glasses. The cream colored paper is pleasant on the eyes. The paper is slightly heavier than the average Bible, better for notes. No gold gilding.The lined margins will be helpful.The Buffalo hide is consistent and beautiful in color. It is not as supple as Calfskin or Goatskin. The price obviously reflects that difference.I have many Bibles. This one is lovely. I purchased this because I wanted a simpler format. I wanted chapter and verse noted only. I did not want cross references or maps. I have other study Bibles that provide all of that. This one was intended for reading and I think it will certainly serve me well in that regard. It is such a privilege to have more than one Bible; it’s very difficult to be too critical.There were wrinkles around page 1000 that will smooth out. I will not return the Bible because of that.I know there are complaints because the Bible was printed in China. Views on our interaction with China including commerce are complicated. Pastor Wang Yi is in prison for preaching the gospel in China and was convicted of spreading superstitions. Pray for that fine young man.My humble opinion is that commercial pressures are as powerful as political pressures. It’s hard to imagine China will be able to continue their present policies when they’re printing Bibles in their own country. Time will tell.Four stars because of the wrinkled pages. If yours doesn’t have that it’s a five star Bible. If you can’t afford the leather any version of this Bible will serve you well.

The media could not be loaded. The #Bible itself is not attached to the part where the rib is and it feels like the pages are going to rip. I don’t want to return it. I want to keep it. I paid a good amount of money for this if I could get half my money back I’d appreciate it, I’ll take a snapshot of what I’m talking about. Pages should be flush against the bottom. I’ll compare to Bibles.

I was hoping for a leather bound Bible that would be durable and last many years. The leather on this Bible is extremely thin and appears to be adhered to the binding of the book so that it wrinkles and creases with movement of the cover. Fairly dissatisfied. Would have returned but I didn’t notice right away.
