Does the job
This little fan is perfect for cooling me while I work at my computer. It's a great size ( small) and quiet enough to not interfere with work or watching videos.

Don't purchase just any small fan - get a Vornado since they come in small sizes now too!
I love Vornado products! I had the best humidifier money could buy and it made no sound. When I moved to my current residence, I didn't need it anymore and gave it to a friend who had reoccurring wheezing problems, most likely air from work, but the therapeutic use of the Vornado in her apartment, especially at night, strengthened her breathing for the day. I also have a Vornado heater which works wonderfully for times when the heat from the HiVac unit just doesn't reach in my bathroom. These heaters can shut themselves off when it is warm or you can set it so the heat is continuous if you want. I have had mine now for 7 years and it is like brand new still. This small Vornado fan is made with the same durability and style as the heater and virtually soundless humidifier. It is handy for unexpected times you need to cool off or for craft making. One time I dropped it from the table and not a scratch on it - it is that durable. But I don't recommend you try dropping it, of course. I presume the shape of it also gives it some erogonomic stability. You can move the fan up and down, to your liking as well. It uses regular house current, not a usb charger - which in my opinion, is another advantage.

Good fan but not perfect
I bought this fan 7 yrs ago and I use it at my desk at home so not high use but a fair amount in the summer time. I take it out to the garage to blow out the dust with an air compressor every spring before using it.My biggest complaint is that the switch is the absolute worst design ever. Any time I want to turn it on, off or change the speed, I have to use both hands and it always moves the fan in a different position so I always have to readjust the position whenever I turn it on or off. I bought a set of inline switches for a lamp and I had a few extras so I decided to put one on the fan and so far, it's much better to use. I set it on low 95% of the time so just having an on/off where I don't move the fan position is a huge upgrade. I also thought about putting it on a smart plug and control it via Alexa.I was tempted to take 2 stars off just for the switch (it's that bad) but the fan works great and it's lasted over 7 yrs with light/moderate use.

Fantastic small quiet fan for a breeze on your upper body while at a desk
I bought this fan because the office I sit in has no moving air at all, and it gets very stuffy, especially in the mornings before the a/c has kicked in. I sit in a room with 6 others, so needed something quiet, and I have a tiny desktop space so needed something small. This fits the bill perfectly. The footprint is a 5" diameter circle and it is 6" tall, so very compact. On low speed (I) it is a very light breeze, so perfect when you just want to feel a little air moving. On high speed (II) the fan makes a low hum, that the person next to me said was barely audible and not bothersome, and it pushes out a stronger breeze. Both are just enough to feel good and not annoying. Other reviewers said the breeze was not strong enough, but this is perfect for me. I was not looking for a strong fan that whips up papers and my hair, but rather needed a quiet machine that helps me feel like I'm not suffocating in an airless room. This did the trick. It's also a sleek design, with an adjustable angle up or down. Love this, glad I found it.

High Quality and Versatile
The Vornado Flippi V6 is light, compact and does not occupy a lot of space, but it efficiently cools and circulates the air in small areas. Recently my 91 year old mother had a brief stay in a nursing home, for physical and occupational therapy. She shared a room with a VERY unpleasant woman who occupied the unit at the window and so, unfortunately, she had access to the heating unit control switch under the window vent. She turned up the heat so the room was insufferably hot. On some days the outside temperature was 60 degrees and the room temperature was 81 degrees!!! I complained to the nurse manager who did exactly nothing, so I took matters into my own hands. I purchased this fan and placed it on the night stand next to my mother's bed. This small, compact unit circulated the air throughout the space, approximately 15' x 25' and when used in combination with a homeopathic (non electric) humidifier, it made my mother's unit tolerable temperature- and humidity-wise. The space in Mother's unit remained a comfortable 71 - 75 degrees with 32% humidity throughout the remainder of her stay (November in NYC).

Much smaller than expected...and definitely weaker.
(Some context) I live in an area where AC is not common in most non-commercial buildings. Large shops and restaurants and super new business offices have AC, but apartments and houses and older businesses don't typically have any AC. The temperature throughout the year is super moderate (55-70 degree Fahrenheit for 10 months out of the year), however we do have an occasional out of nowhere week between May and August where it jumps up to 90-105 degree (Fahrenheit) and we do typically have a late summer from September through the early November where it ranges from 70 to 105 on any given day. For this reason, every one I know has fans. There's usually a fan in each persons rooms (me and my roommate both have large rotating fans in our rooms), and at least 1 fan in the common area (I have a box fan in the living room). Now, the living room and kitchen/dining area is connected and so the space is huge. I wanted a small, but powerful, desk fan to add to the kitchen counters so as to create a cross breeze between the box fan in the living room and the kitchen. So, I bought this because I had a similar fan a couple years ago that was very powerful and roughly the same size.I did read the dimensions, but I failed to really grasp how small it is. This is so much smaller than I realized. The higher power setting is strong, but it only goes like 1 foot, not much further. The smaller setting does basically nothing at all. And there is a definite hum when it goes on the second setting. It's fine for close distances, and I'm going to keep it and add to my work desk, but it did not work at all for what I wanted it to do.
