My 11 year old wasn't convinced this was a cool shirt because of the whale and thought it was baby-ish, however I showed him photos of my friends older boys and these are all they wear so he was willing to give it a shot.He came home from school and wants more because he said it was so comfortable. It definitely is not your average t-shirt and much better quality so I think it is worth the extra money.Being from New England, I'm very happy to now see the whale on my son.Just note: My son is tiny. He is 4'5 1/2 and weighs 68lbs. The size chart said a medium is his size for his height but since he is thin, it sits a bit long and bigger. It is fine by me because he has plenty of room to grow in to it and it didn't look huge or sloppy.
