Excellent product
Bought for baby opossums because they are unable to tolerate lactose. It worked, kept them healthy and they never got ill from the milk

It works!
I started adding this to kefir (cultured milk) and it definitely makes it easier to digest. It also works for yogurt. The cost is less than buying the lactose free versions of kefir and yogurt, which are sometimes out of stock anyway. I didn't write a review until I'd used an entire bottle and purchased another one because I wanted to be certain that it made a difference.

Life changing for spitty baby!
This stuff has been a GAMECHANGER for our super spitty baby. He’s almost 11 months old and has just spit up constantly his whole life. All day. There was no relief from the spit up. It didn’t hurt him and he was gaining weight, so the ped just declared it a laundry issue. But I was so frustrated. Every formula we tried, even when he got more stable sitting up and starting solids - it was constant. It wasn’t cows milk protein allergy - we tried the special (expensive) formulas for that and the spit up got worse because it was so thin. After giving him yogurt for breakfast for a day or two, he started having really bad diarrhea and diaper rash. He was clearly having an issue with the dairy. I started looking around for connection between lactose intolerance and spitting up and came across lactase enzymes. All the research I saw said it would either help or it’d do nothing at all. I figured I had nothing to lose. Within 24 hours we noticed a reduction in his spit up. Almost 3 weeks later and his spit up is virtually gone. Maybe a few here or there within 30 minutes of a bottle, but that’s pretty normal. We batch make bottles at night for the next 24 hours (twin life - his sister has had zero spit up issues) and add 5 drops per bottle. That may be more than we need, but it’s working!

It's easy on me as I don't have to buy two ...
We buy this for My husband who is very lactose intolerant and especially sensitive to milk. We put one and half to two dropper fulls per gallon and it makes regular completely digestable for him. We also add it to the half and half we use for coffee creamer. Milk around here costs $2.60 a gallon. This bottlle gives us about 10 gallons worth of lactose free milk and adds $1.90 per gallon to the cost. It saves us a little money and makes it $4.59 a gallon for lactose free milk instead of $8 per gallon for Lactaid brand milk. It's easy on me as I don't have to buy two kinds of milk any more. We think it is worth it, although I give it four stars because it is kinda pricey in my opinion. I think a bulk pricing option would be nice or for it to be sold in larger quantities. Apparently when my husband was a child lactase drops were very prevelent and readily available as lactose free milks were not. So his parents about passed out when I told them how much this cost. They said they used to buy similar drops for $6, and that was for the more expensive brands. Anyway it works well for our needs. Now if only there was a way to zap regular cheese into lactose free cheese......

Easy to use and don't need as much as the instructions say.
We have a lactose intolerant in the household. It isn't terrible, but its not good either. I think the instructions say to use like 18 drops per quart or something like that. We started off at 18 per half gallon and slowly started to reduce until problems started to happen. I am now at about 12 per gallon with no ill effects. I have to say this stuff is awesome. I can taste it, but its not bad. It is nowhere near as bad as the popular Milk brand is. With this we are able to save money by buying regular organic milk and treating it. It is a good deal overall. We use this to treat half and half and heavy cream when making ice cream, and while I usually forget to do it the night before, it still helps reduce the effects for home made ice cream. I have been using this for about 1 year now. really good stuff.

Bad batch, useless, not returnable. Caution
We add lactase to milk, wait 48 hours, then drink it. The milk usually gets a (very mild) "sweetness" to it as the lactose changes to glucose and... whatever..... Tried this product. It didn't work at all -- no sweetness at 48 hrs.... waited until 60 hrs had passed... Still no sweetness, but we thought... must be there. Tried 1/2 a glass.... HORRIBLE stomach upset (and this is our standard milk! Only these drops are new!) This product appears to have worked for other people, so maybe it's just inconsistent batches? It's also expensive and not returnable. So... this sucks.
