I purchased this twice. I wanted one that took AA batteries because I have rechargeables that I need to use for something. I didn't want to use a callus grinder with a built-in rechargeable battery because then the battery would just go bad within a few years, then the whole thing would be bad (so I reasoned).But I underestimated how cheap they would be willing to make the power switch (you twist a section of the upper handle). I purchased the same one a second time less than a year later because I thought I just got a bad one and it was the only one I could find with decent reviews that took AA batteries. But the same exact thing happened, except this time I smelled strong burning plastic when it failed, and just before it failed, it would just start up whenever I would screwed on the battery compartment.This was a fire hazard for sure (either from the grinder turning on by itself or from the short in the battery).

This is a wonderful product. I've had one for years and could not find it so I purchased another.It is currently less expensive than the one I purchased over a decade ago!Feet have a tendency to get calloused and dry as you get older and this product helps file and smooth away that issue. It's always a good idea to clean and moisturize your feet afterwards.I use this product every 2 or 3 days.Less callouses means less extra charge at the nail salon when you get a pedi.

This file actually has some pretty good power behind it at a very good affordable price. I got one that was 3x this price & barely had the power to shave down any callouses. But this one doesn't seem to loose power when pressure is applied to the callous. I like how easily the stone change in & out as well.

Does the work but if you push with too much pressure on the skin, it stops. Best use on damped skin.

I had an Amopee callus remover for a few years that eventually broke and this looked identical and I thought I was buying another to replace one I had, guess I wasn't paying enough attention, but this was so much better than what I had. similar look and design the replacement heads I already had fit perfectly but this spins at a higher rpm and works much better than what I had previously. best accidental purchase in a long time.

Don't waste your money on this poorly made junk. My old foot sander had died and rather then spend the $38 dollars for the one I was originally interested in purchasing, I saw this one for $7 dollars and my cheapness got the better of me. What a waste of $7 dollars, it worked well for all of 5 minutes then it started making a high pitched squealing sound and the roller seemed to only be half attached ( as long as you didn't put any pressure on it the roller would spin, however the tinyest bit of pressure stopped the roller). Annoyed I attempted to place it on my bathroom vanity but missed and it fell...all of three feet to the floor. Upon hitting the floor the cheap plastic housing cracked open and all the cheap plastic parts came flying out ( side note, there are a surprisingly large amount of tiny little gears inside of the thing). After I cleaned up the mess, I immediately ordered the Amope foot sander that I should have ordered in the first place.

This is a handy foot file to keep around. I love that I can just grab it and run it over my feet for a few minutes each night and keep my feet smooth. It does work on my feet when wet and pulls off a lot of callous, but leaves my feet "spiky" not smooth. I make sure my feet are always completely dry before using this.
