This smoker is very user friendly! Consistent temperatures, digital display shows smoker temp and food temp. We have made mouth watering ribs, chicken, steak, meatloaf and burgers on it so far. Definitely recommend.

nice quality just the right size for smaller cooking and smoking ,app on phone a little hard to set up but once you get it going works great makes smoking easy and taste great and not a expensive as some othe brands very happy ,so far so good

BBQ Island personally delivered this smoker the next day. The delivery man stayed to help assemble and make sure everything was in good condition. We couldn't be happier with the Trek 2.0. We were looking for a smoker on the smaller side and for our motorhome adventures. It fits the bill, portable with more than enough cooking room. BBQ Island also delivered a bag of apple pellets to go along with the smoke, that was a surprise for us. Used them for smoking thick cut pork chops, hamburgers and steak. As time permits, we have a nice 12lb brisket to smoke on it.

This newer model doesn't function as well as the older model. I noticed when I was cooking at 225 degrees that the temperature seemed low. I used another thermometer to test and found out the temperature was way off 25%. Another issue is the new TREK doesn't regulate the temperature nearly as well, with temperature swings of over 75 degrees. The next problem is there is a firmware update to supposedly fix the temperature swing issue but guess what this one also fails to connect to my network and there is NO option to update over a bluetooth connection. Bottom line here is the TREK Prime 2.0 is NOTHING like the original, and I am highly disappointed. I wish I had kept the original and kept my 500.00UPDATE 3 25 2025 Now the Internal AC to DC power convertor has failed. I have tried to get support from GMG and they just send you to voicemail and never call you back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL. They have taken a very good product and ruined it with the 2.0 version! Traeger here I come!UPDATE: Now the auger stopped working. GMG is going downhill!! DO NOT BUY

Bought this smoker for my significant others Father’s Day gift! He is loving it, has used it almost daily. Easy to set up and perfect size! Great value too because a lot of this type of smoker is way more expensive!

The unit I received had a bad power source and my seller wanted me to pay return shipping. I contacted the green Mountain customer helpline, and they were very helpful and shipped out a new power source.Coming from an offset smoker, this took me a little while to get used to, but now I love this little unit and look forward to using it.The size is just right, the portability is nice and the customer support is excellent

Yes 5 stars for a damaged product. I got my new grill yesterday and unboxed it today for assembly. The end of the heat shield was bent as if it had been dropped and the flange on the chimney was bent. I called Green Mountain Grill and within a few minuets they said not to worry they would ship out replacement parts. Absolutely great customer service. This is my second GMG so I am very confident that when I get the parts it will be as good as the first ( a Jim Bowie)
