Maisto 1:24 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Diecast Vehicle (Colors May Vary)

Just got a Mercedes for my daughters, I know, I spoil them already. This is a cool one, I actually bought several Mercedes die cast models, including some older Maisto versions and new Norev versions (Norev is a premium brand). While this one doesn't match up to Norev in terms of details and appearing realistic, it is actually a beautiful and pretty sturdy toy. My daughters love it, it is one of the nicest die cast vehicles they have. The only feature I would have liked for this purpose is the pull back winding feature.Edit after more than one year: this car took all the abuse a toy could take and it is still in almost as new shape (bar some superficial scratches). It is amazing how sturdy it can be. My son who started playing when he was one and abused it even more than my daughters, presses on all the cars hard enough to break their wheels. Not this one, it runs perfect. Also because it is heavier than other, it actually runs amazingly on hardwood floor.Bottomline: after more than a year, lots of play and abuse by 3 toddlers I can hands down say that this may be the best diecast model that they have and I am not just talking about Mercedes models or Maisto, we have tried many.

Not here to discuss the finer points of fit and finish on this model, although it is perfectly acceptable. There is one very important reason I love these Maisto 1:24 series cars for my boys who are 3 and 5. They are not overly rough on their cars, but they manage to break the front wheel mechanisms on EVERY OTHER model of this size where the front wheels can turn side-to-side. Those mechanisms are just too fragile to endure the loads of Pre-K playtime.This car and others in this Maisto line are wonderful because they have a solid front axle that is much more robust and the front wheels do not turn. It is more fun for them too, because they can send it off in a straight line on the floor with a push and it doesn't go tumbling over itself because the wheels turned immediately. The car is well built and perfect for younger ones who are more interested in playing with it than displaying it.

I ordered this for my jobs Ssecret Santa... it came in black but I thought it would come in red based on the photo. There’s no option to choose the color you want so basically you’re in for a surprise.. or shock as I was.

Well made and has a hood and doors that open. Granddaughter enjoys playing with it.

Very pretty model. Mine came in red which was not what I was expecting, but I like red so it's fine. The engine looks good and the hood opens easily.

Item was as described but was a gift and box had dried milk or something all over it. Not sure how new the item is.
