Absolutely perfect
This product is a God-send for my sons contracted hand! I’ve been trying to find Something that would help ease the pain of opening his hand to put hand grips in. I stumbled on this and not an ounce of pain comes from him. Extremely easy to use! Highly recommend!!

Does not last for long
We are on the second carrot. Less than a week into it, and again a leak in the carrot. Poorly made EXPENSIVE product that does not last. It is a great idea, and works so well when it works. Such a shame the quality is not longer lasting.

Works well.
Easy to pump, but I did wish that the kit should have 2 inflatables instead of one.

GREAT IDEA AND WORKS WITH LITTLE PAIN UPON INSERTION .
GREAT FOR VERY BAD CONTRACTURS ,,,BUT DON'T MAKE SPARE COVERS ? IS THAT STUPID OR WHAT . YOU HAVE TO BUY A WHOLE ANOTHER KIT TO GET COVERS. THEY DO GET VERY DIRTY FAST. AS PEOPLE WITH PARKINSONS DROOL SALIVA AND THEY USUALLY PUT THEIR HANDS UP TO THEIR MOUTHS ... SO WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN DIRTY ? YOU NEED SPARE COVERS ?

Not Worth $40+, and Not Wide-Enough of an Opening
I would not pay $40+ for this. My FIL is a recent quadriplegic, paralyzed. He's slowing gaining movement/muscle, and we're working with this hands. One of them is closed, and one of them is open. Obviously, we wanted to use this for the closed hand. However, it proved incredibly pointless. The cons:- it's way too complicated for what it does- it's incredibly difficult to manage with just one person and their two hands - especially if that one person has to worth with the patient's hand- it's almost like somebody didn't try using this before creating it - there is so much going on when trying to use and implement this for the person needing it, that it's almost a huge ordeal trying to do so.- it's quite small - it hardly opens your hand enough to give a handshake - let alone get your hand to a point where it could hold a soda can or a toy footballKnowing these - it kind of makes it fundamentally flawed, and incredibly expensive for what it does (or doesn't do).

works great!
ordered one to try out with my 22 year old daughter who has spastic quadriplegia CP and severe hand contractures. This worked great! I am getting ready to order another one so we can do both hands at the same time.

Doesn't work for severely contracted hand
I bought this for my mother who has severe flexon contractures in one hand. We are unable to get anything under the fingers to keep the hand clean. The carrot is too large to get it through the space on the hand and was causing too much pain in the process of trying to insert it. I tried it with her doctor. We determined it was not usable for her. It might work well for a less severly contracted hand but it was unusable in this case.
