Twists and turns! More questions.. excellent read!
I literally am writing my reviews for each book back to back.. I couldn’t put the series down until after I was completely done then realized maybe I should write a review! These books are amazing! This one was insane.. some of the story had me wanting to scream at my kindle! Lol. Sadie/Summer is too lost and confused and so am I! Lol. V, Miles, and Eli.. all are too good to be true can we just think maybe that they are all one person?! That would be great! Lol. I’m kidding I want V to be Miles and Miles to be V all in one and then we can all be happy?! But I’m irritated at the back and forth. Poor Sadie/Summer is torn and she is trying to figure this path out.. in the meantime there are way too many distractions. I’m just happy that the right people at least I hope so right now are on her side! That ending... WOW.. that countdown... the other Sadie Davis.. I can’t deal.. man Don is a twisted dude but there are real people out there like him.. that’s the crazy part about it. This may not be a real story but it seems so real. I feel like I’m reading an episode of Law and Order SVU.. seriously! Lol. That my favorite show but this book is amazing. It leaves you with more questions and it leaves you yearning to find out how it all ends! Keep reading! You won’t be disappointed!

Secrets, Seduction, & Suspense...What's not to Love!
Secrets, surprise truths, sexy men want to love Sadie/Summer...delivers on every point! Sadie and V, Sadie and Eli, or Sadie and Miles...why choose just yet?As character's develop, backgrounds, and everyone's past brought into open (except V), we find lines blurring between love and lust, Sadie and Summer, trust and fear, danger imagined or real, or just diabolical...Two books in, and I cannot decide who V is (is he Hunter, as some believe, I have a hunch, and a hope for who he really is), nor which man I hope Sadie/Summer chooses. An awesome follow up ... A stand alone great story too, a page turner of suspense, I find I'm hanging on every written word, just waiting for "what's next".. I highly recommending this amazing fast paced story I don't want to end. I am on to Carved in Ice...can not wait to follow everyone into the rest of their journey.

Very Good Read
I loved book 1, this one was a good continuation of the story. But I got a little confused maybe even irritated with Summer/Sadie. She seemed to sleep with every man she likes. But kept saying "love". I get that she has been traumatized for a decade, but she does seem to need some kind of intense therapy somewhere. She also finds out more about her family's past--and it's not very good. So more trauma there. I am looking forward to book 3 in hopes she gets sorted out and finds a life worth living.

Flaming good 🔥🔥
Wow! This was so deep and it seems Summer/Sadie was indeed forged in flames 🔥. Summer has now discovered Eli's true identity but is just so upset that he's known her for two years but didn't realize she was being abused. With the help of V, Eli and Eliza she is putting all the pieces together and the more information that is revealed the more she realizes she's on borrowed time. This has even gotten more complicated by the fact that she loves V and Eli but Miles is the one that she truly wants to be. Can she have her happy ending without pulling everyone she cares about into the flames with her. This was outstanding and I'm honored to have received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My favorite Series by Ivy Smoak!!
Ivy Smoak is a lovely author and she totally captured another reader with these books. I love the story behind the main character. I love that this college boy Miles remembers her, and then theres some mysterious stuff outside of college going on that's very suspenseful. I love the Vigilante character and I'd drop out of college and live with him for life, mask and AllðŸ˜ðŸ¤£ ! I love this story!!!! I love all 3 books. ! Ivy Smoak has many great books!!!

3.5 stars
Forged in Flames was a little all over the place and so are my feelings. I didn't see as much, if any, growth with Summer/Sadie's character as I would have liked. And the story kind of dragged on for me.We pick up with a truly heartbreaking flashback to a 16 year old Summer, that shows us what a true monster Don Roberts is. A small window into all the suffering she faced alone over the years. When Summer wakes up in her dorm disoriented with no memory of how she got there, she realizes things are out of her hands and she needs help. The last thing she remembers is Joan holding her at gun point. She decides maybe the police can help her. She goes to a precinct and gives the short version to her story, only to be turned away. She does however learn, that Don actually legally adopted her, faked her death as Summer Brooks and changed her name to Sadie Davis. She has no choice but to rely on V, Eli and Liza to help her stay safe and figure out what Dons end game is.Pros: we learn a little more about Summers past, besides the fact that she suffered abuse. Eli has gained her trust back and seems to be truly on her side. V is as amazing as always, but he's still hiding behind that mask. However, he is obviously devoted to keeping Summer safe, although he always calls her Sadie. Miles is honestly so dreamy. He's sweet, caring & even though he only knows her as Sadie, it's like he sees right through her mask to HER. I'm holding out hope for them to get their HEA.Cons: the story is a little all over the place and drags on. The last book, Summer had been building up her confidence. She was brave and strong. In this book, she seems to whine a lot and constantly doubts herself & her decisions. She can't make her mind up and there's just too much dramatic inner dialog. "V" is still as mysterious as ever. He hasn't shown his face or divulged his true identity and we don't get much of his personality either. We just know he's there because of Summer, he wants to keep her safe, and blah blah blah. Take the damn mask off already!!!! And please don't get me started on Liza. She is a completely unlikable character. I haven't seen a redeemable quality yet. If it wasn't for her mysteriously professional hacking/tech knowledge (b/c we were never told what her actual job is and how she acquired the money and skill set she has) her character wouldn't fit at all. She's not even the slightest sympathetic or empathetic towards Summers situation and all she's been through. I wanted more of Miles. More time spent, more conversation, just more. Lastly, there were some spelling and grammar issues that get a little annoying after a while.I have no idea when we'll get the next installment, I hope it doesn't take longer than a few months. Can't wait to see where The Four end up!
