It Works
My water softener started going bad. I found out because my water bill went from $60/month to over $400!!It turns out maintenance is necessary to extend the life of water softeners. It also turns out that I am not so fastidious about performing such a task routinely, reliably and religiously. This system wicks the necessary treatment into the softener 24x7x365. My current water softener is now older than the one I had to replace. My water bills are not shooting into the stratosphere because it has to keep cycling due to failures of unreactive beads. Good product but no wick
It’s a shame that res are can be purchased as a two pack for $45, but the only way to get a new/replacement wick is to buy a “starter kit” which includes a single one (1) bottle, flimsy mounting bracket, and cap/wick combo for $60. Literally fifteen dollars more for half the liquid just to get a new wick and bracket that will end up being thrown away.Manufacture either needs to start including replacement wicks, or sell them separately for $5. Absurd cornering of consumer market.
