RJ45 Waterproof Connector IP68 Cable Connector, Panel Mount Coupler Female to Female, with Shielding Cable Coupler-CAT5E-YMP20-Green-2 PCS

I used these for a Starlink cable. They work quite well.

I used this to repair a cat5e cable that runs to one of my POE IP cameras on the outside of my house. There is a short section of cable that is exposed to the weather elements and a sure enough, after about 2 years a small abrasion happened to the cable and it wore through the outside sheathing AND the solid orange wire inside the cable and it killed my camera. (yes, only one of the 8 conductors was wore through and it killed that camera) This coupler device will actually solve two problems for me. One, it repaired the cable so the camera now works great again..... and two, the body of this coupler will now prevent future abrasions from happening to the cable in that same spot again. The coupler itself seems to assembly onto the cat5 cable very well and seems like it would keep 100% of the moisture out of the RJ45 connection inside the coupler. However, I also used several pieces of shrink tubing to build-up the diameter of the cat5 cable on either end of this coupler, then covered the entire coupler with one large piece of shrink tubing. I only use shrink tubing that has the glue inside which also helps insure a 100% water tight seal. Between this coupler being 100% sealed itself, then completely covering it with adhesive lined shrink tubing , I am fairly confident this repair will last for a very long time.

It fit perfectly in the existing knockout without any need to widen it.

I worked with this specific one a lot and it’s a problem solver. I was running an ethernet cable outside under the rain and need to extend it a little bit. I was using a regular coupler to extend the ethernet cable which I should not because regular coupler should only be used indoors. However, they brook and the cable got disconnected. I got those and the cables have to go through stages to meet. Also covered really well. No rain gets their whatsoever. Probably secured and tight enough to not let any rain get it. In the sun and the summer, it did not melt too. That’s why I like this specific one. I used those a lot at work. Because i like how good they are I bought them for myself for small project i was doing. And it’s worth the price

I used these to replace the rj45 connectors on plate reading cameras mounted externally on a car. They can be split up to only use the female end making them multi purpose and so far have been water tight even through recent snow storms. Well made and plan on ordering more to make some back up cables.

Appears well built. Connections are snug. It’s only been like in place for a few weeks but I don’t think moisture penetration will be an issue.

The description and picture are miss leading, It's says you'll receive 2 pieces and the picture implies a quality of 2. What I received was 1 complete connector assembly consisting of 2 half's, I quess this is the 2 pieces referenced in the description so ignore the picture. I will be sending this items back.

I was using this in a camper to connect Starlink externally, but as others have posted the ends end to vibrate loose. Would not recommend this product if you are using in an area with vibration.
