Portugal (Spectacular Places Flexi)

I had just returned from a trip to Portugal. It was a fantastic trip. Being January places weren't crowded, but also not a lot of sun. I took pictures. But when I saw the pictures on line in this book, they were much better. An excellent book to read before go, take with as a guide, and also have as a memory book once back.

My granddaughter got engaged in Portugal and will most likely have her wedding there as well. I thought she would enjoy this book and she said that there are many photos of places she has already visited. And many more of places she hopes to go. The photos are beautiful and she was very happy with this gift.

I think the book has nice color photos but too much country, need more photos city life and people. Very heavy book but reasonable, for Holidays.

This book I bought (after bought a very thing book with only a few pages with picture of Lisbon) it’s got lots of pictures about Portugal and lots of written things too. I am very happy with this book

Magnifique livre avec des très jolis photo. Mais colis arrivé déchiré, livre un peu abimé. Dommage.

eccellenti questi volumi della Konemann dedicati a vari paesi del mondo!I loro punti di forza sono 3: qualità, completezza e costo (e scusate s'è poco, visto che sono francesi!)La qualità è quella delle foto ma soprattutto della loro scelta, troppo spesso banale, ripetitiva o non pertinente. Qui invece è difficile trovare foto ipersaturate, vecchie di decenni o primi piani di bambini che nulla centrano col soggetto del libro. Le banche dati sono immense (getty soprattutto) quindi se non c'è l'impronta autoriale la varietà è comunque garantita.La completezza è altresì importante, dato che ogni regione di ogni paese viene trattata, per esempio Azzorre e Madeira nel volume sul Portogallo, mentre devo segnalare la grave mancanza della Reed flute cave nel volume dedicato alla Cina (anche assente l'utile mappa riepilogativa alla fine, forse per la vastità del territorio). Le foto a piena pagina hanno sempre una piccola didascalia stampata nell'angolo (non così nel volume sull'Islanda, forse uno dei primi...)Infine il costo, o meglio ancora il rapporto costo/quantità che per i volumi a copertina flessibile da me acquistati è sensazionale (meno di 15€ per quasi 500 pagine), anche considerando che il testo è ridotto ai minimi termini e le immagini regnano sovrane (devo però segnalare che l'italiano è spesso mal tradotto dall'inglese, e nel volume cinese addirittura assente)
