Always keep aloe gel stocked
I have a tendency to sunburn easily. Aloe gel is the only thing that really helps the heat and subsequent itchiness from sunburns for me, so I try to keep it stocked in my medicine cabinet. This isn't a brand I've used before (the one I use is usually in a clear green bottle shaped like an aloe leaf), but it's...fine. I was a little surprised when I looked at the ingredients and found a few more than I'm used to. It looks like the actual aloe was watered down, then thickened again to reach the correct consistency with additives. I'm not a big fan of that. This gel does work to soothe sunburns, but the effects are simply not as long-lasting. It's totally fine if you're using it for quick things like soothing just-plucked eyebrows, but not great for something like a sunburn where the symptoms are longer-lasting.

So-so results
Several years back, I had picked up a couple bottles of aloe vera gel on sale in the grocery store. I had never tried it before and was impressed by how well it soothed my sunburn. Eventually I discovered it also worked wonders for heat rash, dry skin, bug bites and just about any other skin irritation. I’ve been sold on its benefits ever since.I thought I’d give this Fragfre Naturals aloe vera gel a try and so far, the results have been mixed. It’s 100% natural with few ingredients. It’s also unscented which I love and clear in color. I have been suffering from cracked, dry hands since cold weather started--to the point where the backs of them are bleeding some days. I don’t like using hand lotion because it leaves your hands greasy and I’m sensitive to some of the perfumes they contain. One actually made my hands burn like they were on fire. This aloe gel is cool and soothing and you can feel it hydrating your skin. After one application, the inside of my hands are very soft and supple. I applied a couple applications to the backs, but I’ve seen no change. They are just as dry and cracked as before using the aloe. I like that there’s no oily feel with this product; however I did discover after picking up a cold, sweaty cup, the gel that I had applied to the inside of my hands did briefly turn sticky again which wasn’t pleasant. Unfortunately I think I’ll have to pass on this.

Sticky & slimy
I enjoy the benefits of aloe vera and consider myself someone who uses it frequently. I've had aloe plants before and used straight from the leaf on cuts and wounds, and, to aid in healing from labor, I've ordered a very high quality aloe (which sped up the healing process!). I actually compared it to this one I received to review and I think it helps explain why this bottle felt so...slimy and sticky. Aloe has a unique consistency, but I've never had one that actually had my hair stick to my skin after drying. I used this on my shoulder blades and my hair dried to it. I didn't enjoy the texture after it dried. Comparing the ingredients to my regular go-to, this includes 2-3 more ingredients (like sodium benzoate, a "preservative sometimes found in soda and condiments"). Our skin is THE biggest organ we have and just drinks in what we put on it; when I am wanting something as organic as fresh aloe, I prefer not to have preservatives in it. I'll be going back to my cold pressed option and discarding this one.

The Duct Tape & WD40 Of Skincare
This is one of those all purpose skincare products that is extremely versatile and should always be on hand around the house. It's like the duct tape and WD40 of skincare. A good, basic product that covers all sorts of skin issues and has no frills to fancy it up. This is all you need in many cases. From dry skin to sunburned skin and other irritations in between. It's a clear gel that feels very watery but has plenty of substance. It's not going to run all over the place unless you pump too much out. You only need a little to spread all over your skin. Feels great and cooling. No smell to speak of other than the lightest of an aloe smell upon first application but goes away immediately. Great for babies to great grandma.

Smells neutral - feels nice
I like that this stuff does not have a ton of crap ingredients in it. So many aloe products sold have loads of added stuff I have never heard of - including coloring and preservatives, etc. This one is great in that regards. It does come out like a thick gel (kind of like actual aloe) so a little really does go a long way. So far I used some to moisturize some dry patches on my hands. It was soothing and made them feel soft. It also smells pretty neutral - which I really like as I hate when companies add perfume to their products too. It might be a little sticky after use - but only for a few minutes - much like natural aloe. Of course, I will keep this on hand more for uses like burns and skin inflammations and such.If you found my review helpful to you - why not click the "Helpful" button? : )

Terrific for adding to liquid hand sanitizer.
I used this to add to a jug of liquid hand sanitizer. It turned it into a more useful product, not running out of our hands. Also, hand sanitizer needs to stay on the hands and the pure “thin liquid” hand sanitizer more often than not ended up on the floor. This aloe gel has no scent and works well.

All Natural But All Natural Thinners And Preservatives Too
This aloe gel is "all natural" but is made of water, aloe gel, and some other "natural" things like glycerin and preservatives. It smells pretty good and goes on easily, but compared to 100% aloe gel, it feels slightly more oily and after 30 mins or so (unlike all-aloe aloe) it still felt like there was a skin conditioner on my skin. This might be better suited as a facial treatment than an overall skin gel. And it's kind of expensive compared to similar products in 8 and 16 ounce bottles. But--if you want it for your face, and you may not like the usual smell of aloe, this might be for you.
