Bought this after yet another spatter guard fell apart. Decided to go for a better quality one. This is it. Very well made and durable. Fits well on a 12” or 10” fry pan, then throw in dishwasher to clean.

Just what you'd expect from a Le Creuset product. Quality made. Silly to love a splatter guard- and yet I do. Absolutely worth it.

Like everything from Le Creuset this was smartly designed and well constructed. It’s also very sturdy. It isn’t cheap, but I doubt you could find a better one.

This is the second time I've purchased this. The first one lasted a couple of years before I noticed that the black rubber was flaking off and falling into whatever I was cooking (yuck!)Anyway, I hate getting grease all over the stove when I cook, so I was hopeful this would cut down on that. It does, to a point. I think it's important that the top is a screen, otherwise you'd end up steaming your food. I find that there are still splatters, but this definitely cuts down.I used to use an all-metal version but this one has rubber along the edges which makes for a better seal against the pan. I do throw mine in the dishwasher which contributes to it falling apart. If you look at it as something that will not last forever, I think you'll be happy with it.

Exactly does as described, mostly all splatters are caught by the guard. I would defiantly recommend.

Over the years, I have purchased many spatter guards and they all ended up in the same place - the trash. They were either too flimsy and didn't hold their shape, or didn't really do much to stop oil splatters. This one is a keeper. The kind of quality product I have come to expect from Le Creuset. It is well made and heavy enough to stay on the pan; the silicon rim makes for a tight fit and assures no sliding around. Easy to keep clean and folding handle makes storage easy. Very pleased with this item and I would highly rcommend it for anyone who really wants to contain splattering oil. This one will do it! Meant to last a lifetime and worth every penny.
