ENDLESS LOVE...DEFINITELY AN ALL OUT "CHICK-FLICK"
OK. Totally remove from your mind--us OLDER MOVIE WATCHERS--Brooke Shields, the curly-haired male (he's like in "Where are they now" magazine articlers and those very late-nite celeb interviews used just for a story cause that's all the network can use to fill their time slot (LOL), even the book, if you read Harlequem Romances --most likely your Granny's books, passed to mom, then you, on down the line, which now fill the thrift store book bins for .15, names, notes and numbers are probably scribbled throught that LONG AGO BEST SELLING NOVEL/TURNED INTO A BLOCKBUSTER HIT(THANX, MY cALVIN kLEIN hERO..I STILL LOVE U, BROOKE) .Forget and erase from your mind.and move forward 30 years. This is just a feel-good, typical movie scenereo: Beautiful, all NATURAL, "ME? What? PRETTY AND MODEL-LIKE BEAUTIFUL 100% ALL THE TIME, AND DOESN'T REALIZE HER BEAUTY STOPS TRAFFIC, and her true reactions to other girls are real, and not fake, because she has been sheltered from any AND ALL SITUATIONS that allow teenagers to mature and make rational decisions needed for later life. She thinks it's just her. She shines through her learning enjoyment, going above and beyond her own expectations. Dad is the culprit, very rigorus in HIS FUTURE, planning for 18 years, every step of his PRODIGY'S FUTURE, not really ever thinking, "MY, SWEET, BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER" BUT more along the line of This is my project, I am responsible for her every great achievement now and future. "LOOK AT ME. SEE WHAT I DID, WHAT I CREATED? Thats how daddy made me feel. Dirty, unclean. Then, add a Jock, one-parent home, knows exactly what he'll be doing the day after graduation, loyal, honest, stands up for the bullied and always tells his true feelings, never embarresed for being the worker-bee at the "club" to all the very wealthy, spoiled schoolmates that the males only wish could be like him, and spoiled party richy girls trying to reel him in...only behind closed doors that he won't give a second glance to..UNTIL his Endless Love speaks to him for the first. TIME..HE'S FALLEN, HOOKED, AND won't let wealth, material things, even POWERFUL PEOPLE stop him from getting that "GIRL" he doesn't and can't live without the rest of his life. So the story goes, The rich, powerful father battling a JOCK, mechanic, no good unrefined desposable "BOY", to the girl, who finally says, NO to DADDY, while Mom, is just the prop in the marriage..then a great, good feeling after all the credits roll, but a forgotten movie after a year because another CHICK-FLICK has been released...You get the idea, right? Oh, the music/soundtrack I love, and the actors are ALL As. No B actors I could pick out. just rent it..or splurge and buy the SD version for rainy, cold, indoor day!

Awesome romance.
What a good romance and Alex Pettyfur is so handsome. Be still my heart. This is the type of movie that you wished that you were the girl. This is another teen movie that is so good. This is another rich girl meets poor boy. This girl is only 17 and both of them just graduated from high school. She didn't have any friends at the school and he was always wanting to meet with her, but didn't know how to go about it. Even when they graduated that night he was watching her. She was a very pretty girl and the other girls were jealous of her and did try to get to know her. Her folks took her and her brother out for dinner and she just happened to bring her year book with her. The place where they went just so happened to be the place where Alex worked as a valet. She gets out of the car and the book falls and he picks it up for her. They exchange greeting and she goes to enter, but then she turns and asks if he would sign it. He then write something like " Maybe it won't take four years to talk again." That was the start of it. She wanted to know so she asked for a party so that she could invite Alex. Her dad was a doctor and didn't like her seeing him, but the mom liked him. The dad was hard on his son and the son didn't feel that he did anything right to please there dad. So the girl and Alex fell in love and the dad was doing anything that he to stop it. He called him and his dad low lives. But his daughter didn't care and loved him any way. Her brother liked him and told him so. Alex trys to prevent a lot that happens to them, but everything that he does the father see it as being bad, but in the end the father gives in. Great movie.

A new classic
I haven't loved a romantic movie so much since "Her", which is not that old, but I didn't thought I would see another romantic movie so good so soon!"Endless Love" is not Oscar material or anything, so don't pay attention to harsh reviews, or comparisons to the original movie/book. The movie stands by its own as a movie full of hope, true love, a great cast (the chemistry between Alex and Gabriella is undeniable), a great soundtrack, and beautiful photography all along with the film. The movie follows the typical "good girl falls in love with the bad boy" story, but what makes this movie more unique than other teen romance films is how the story is told, you are rooting for (almost all) the characters since the very beginning. You laugh, you cry, you even get angry and shockedat times, the movie is a great rollercoaster that's entertaining from beginning to end, and I see myself watching the movie a lot of times once I get the Blu-Ray.I recommend it to people who are looking for new movies that weren't given the chance when they were on theaters, you're going to love "Endless Love" if you love movies like "The Notebook", "About Time", "A Day To Remember", "Safe Haven", among others!

It's about the journey and not the destination!!
As a college student, I often find myself wishing I would have "stopped and smelled the roses". This movie highlights that college will happen (for most) and your future will happen, but you are only a teenager once! I've worked so hard through college, and I wish I would have enjoyed the journey more instead of focusing on the destination. What a great movie that shows its okay to not focus only on your future plans, but to let those moments of happiness happen. Enjoy things that provide a light in your life, with limits of course! Such a Nicholas Sparks vibe and I am here for it!!

A good romance movie
Good movie, funny, romantic and a little predictable for me but I kinda feel that way about all romantic movies. Lead characters had a great chemistry. There wasn't anything I had to FF thru when watching it with my 14 yro daughter & her friend. A couple of "if you ever attempt to do such a thing" comments maybe. LOL. It was good & I loved the entire cast. Recommended if you like Romaric movies.
