Worked well with FreePBX/Asterisk Setup
Programmed this to automatically call a ring-group setup in FreePBX, works perfect. Integrated the remote relay control into the access control to open the door, also worked perfect. The relay has C,NC,NO connections. I like the ability to stream the video via RTSP, we use VLC, tried to view incoming video on older phones however this caused the phone to crash.

It works as a door bell.
I have 30 years experience in IT and phone systems. I had a bit of trouble getting this configured and running. Not much took an hour or so. I am running it on power over ethernet (POE) and it has worked well. I had the programming disappear once and had to reprogram. The software (web interface) is not great and it is missing some things but it works as a doorbell. For the cost it is a good deal and like i said... it works. I live in arizona... we are heading into summer and I am interested to see how it holds up in the heat.

Returned, its junk if you want it for SIP video, audio is ok.
We've used Fanvil i33V and its worked pretty well so I was willing to try this on that's much less rugged and a lot cheaper that may still be good for some applications... Nope. I manually configured it go connect with SIP to our phone system like we did the i33V when we were testing it. The processor heatsink in it gets very hot and the video lags way behind. With little to no movement its 2-3sec behind, with more movement forget about it 5-10sec between image updates. Not fluid video like the higher end model over SIP but the imagine quality isn't bad for the price and audio quality is fine. Fitment of the case and disassembly is a pain and poor fitment.

The cheapest IP videophone I could find
You must record the parameters when the videophone has registered on your asterisk PBX, otherwise all is lost if you unplug it, and you must try to find the good parameters again, which is really difficult and not at all explained.Fanvil tries to sell its own phones, and it is not easy to find a free soft videophone for this machine.Besides that, very good buy.

Check video compatibility before buying
I bought this unit to test capability on existing Fanvil phones (high end X210); however, even after proper configuration, logging showed media rejected. Other brands accept video, even on low resolution phones with same video brand. We use the legacy Fanvil i20 series and it works great. I think there needs to be a version 1.5 or 2.0 of this mini video phone.
