I held off writing a review as I wanted to see how these covers weathered. I purchased three shades for my pergola in 2023, and the installation (after figuring out how to do the first one) went fairly quickly. The covers provide just the right amount of shade and help cool off the seating area beneath.I pull down and store the covers during the winter as I feel the cold wet weather will do them in for sure. So the shades themselves have held up well. The one piece that I had a feeling would not last was the spacing tape. As suspected, it started to come apart after a few seasons.This year, I replaced the spacing tape with something more durable: nylon cord (Paracord Planet Genuine Type III 550lb Paracord/Gray/4mm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ACL4TZO) and plastic cord locks (AQRINGO Plastic Cord Locks Single Hole Spring Toggle Stopper https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DNR9SHQ).The cord locks made it easier for me to adjust the spacing without having to re-do any knots. Let's see how the spring locks handle the summer weather.

In this hot Texas sun I was looking for an affordable solution to adding just a bit more shade to my outdoor landscape. I was a little hesitant on these bc I wanted the 40’ length and couldn’t find reviews for longer than 16’. Yes, at times it was a 2 person job but this 65 year old woman did almost the entire install by herself. It took 3 days but that was only bc it gets to 105 degrees so my outdoor working window was considerably short. A little over an hour in the AM and only about an hour in the PM. I think they’re perfect. Hard on the hands putting on all the hardware and the stop ribbon was a nuisance but overall an easy install. I’m so glad I made this purchase. It was close to $1K but I look forward to having them shade my backyard for years to come. My grandkids and their parents will absolutely love the shade they offer the pool.Major edit: the spacer ribbon provided is no match for the weight of the 40’ shade and has ripped out twice. I do have a plan, purchase some decent weight cording and tie a loop every 23” (which is the length I used for my spacing). This ribbon might work fine for a shorter length shade but completely inadequate for my shade.Final edit (I promise) - I went ahead and purchased some UV safe low stretch cording off Amazon and it completely solved my problem with the included spacer tape for the shades. So many reviews mentioned the poor quality of this tape I wish I had replaced it with the cording on my initial install. It works like a breeze. I put a 24” tape measure in my lap and carefully measured and tied a small loop every 24” (so simple) and added that to the hooks, cutting off the old tape to throw away. I am extremely happy with the result. Zoom in on last photo to see the loops made from the cording.

They fit perfectly within our pergola, they look great and are sturdy and hold up well too the winds.

Works like it should. Spacing tape does not last long. Under a year. Can not find replacement tape.

We ordered these awnings in oct 2024 for our pergola and they were amazing! Time consuming to put up but over all very easy and manageable. So we decided to order more to run the length of our pool. Again amazing! Til we went to take them down because we would be closing the house up.The “stainless steel” Carabiners had rusted so badly that some of them we had to use a players to get them to move. Small detail, but just know it takes a while to attach 40 carabiners. Now we will have to take them all off buy “real stainless steel” and put them back on. Thus the 4 stars

It looks fine but the fabric is so sheer I doubt much sun protection is achieved and the fabric is so light weight that the least amount of wind moves it open. I will need to permanently brace it closed and that defeats the purpose.It does look good!

The media could not be loaded. Nice addition to my patio. Looks sturdy and durable. It’s been a month since I have it installed, cool’s down the temperature in the patio and the room next to it.
