Q: Are these seeds certified

Lols, certified for what? If your asking if the seeds are non-GMO then yes. It is illegal to sell any GMO seed to a consumer. Only big farming companies or commercial farmers can have GMO seeds. But you can't. You can't even buy a bag of dry beans or the jar of popcorn corn kernels at the store if they are GMO. So, I am confused as to what you mean by "certified". Also, fun fact; in order to be certified as organic you only need to prove that 30% of your growing, harvesting, processing and packaging is organic. Mind you not every one of those areas has to be 30%. Just part of it as a whole. And you have to use 3 times to 4 times organic pesticides in order to keep your crop pest free. Just because it is organic does not mean it is ok to use as much as you like or it is safe. Hope this helps. By the way these are really good seeds!

Q: How long can you keep the unopened envelopes for? I have no interest now in gardening. To depressed

Seeds can last years if stored properly. In a cool, dry place in a container bugs can't get into. By the way as someone with chronic depression. Gardening helps a lot. It forces you to get out and tend to it so you do lock yourself away. It will be hard at first but once you start a routine and see the plants grow, be it for food or flowers, you will find that your depression seems to almost go away. It will give you more energy and make you feel better. If you do not want to start seeds you could buy the pre grown plants at the store or online and plant those. That way you get faster progress but the same benefit. Just do one or two plants or just your favorite flowers. Do not let depression run your life. Trust me.

Q: Approximately how many seeds per packet?

I counted between 10 to 15 seeds on average in my seed packets but the amount other people may get could be different. They are heirloom so you will be able to harvest the food and save the seeds to grow again.

Q: Do these seeds need to go thru a winterization period of being kept damp in the refrigerator or plant as is?

I live in Arizona. I planted when temps were in the low 70's.They are growing really well. I water in the morning and evening.
