it really can sustain a 20amp output and it accurately measures the voltages on the balance cable.If the display actually went to 3 decimal places instead of just 2 it would be perfect.It can both reduce and boost the incoming voltage as needed to match whatever you set as the output voltage.it costs a bit but it is very nice product.

I have the q8 and q8 max both have a dc power mode which I think is awesome except that it is way too amperage limited the q8 won't go past 10 amps even tho the charge modes will hit 20 if you're PSU is higher voltage than you're battery. But the q8+ is software limited to 5 amps which is retarded a more powerful charger that is limited to less current yes the q8+ will handle 30 amps when charging a battery but why would the software limit the dc power mode. also, you should know that you're not going to get 1000 wats unless you're charging 8s of a PSU that's a higher voltage than the battery the device can only handle its rated amperage in and out i was expecting mor from dc power mode the biger charger is weeker and thats dumb.

Beast of a charger. Parallel charges my 4 6s LiFe Ebike battery bricks, totaling 96ah. Fan gets a bit loud at high output, but runs quietly if I turn the charge rate down a bit. Have also used it to test charge the 4s 300ah LiFe pack for my off grid system.

Found out too late to get something else, but was a real disappointment that the Q8max is not so maxed out. While Air8 can charge 8 cell LiHV packs, this "MAX" version can not. The old T8 also worked woth 8S high voltage packs.

The item works great, I just wish it would allow for lower voltage in LifePo4 Cells, for example I like to charge mine to 3.5 Volts, not 3.65, the item only allows 3.6 as the lowest you can go. other than that I am happy, but still wish I could have purchased the icharger 8 that allows more customization and higher discharge rate.

Great charger best bang for your buck. Would recommend to a friend. Keep in mind you will need a psu or an external battery to make this changer go. Easy and portable.
