Fulfilled expectations.
Item arrived in great shape and got here fast. Construction feels sturdy. Operations was easy to figure out. I tossed the cheap little batteries that were included and threw some nice new Duracell's in there. I have only opened it about 20 times and had it for a few months. It opens every time. I performed a mild level abuse test and it remained securely locked. For this price range I am happy.Plenty of room inside. I keep a Ruger SR 45 and SR 22 on the bottom shelf. I could easily put another full size pistol on that shelf as well. Spare magazines and a few other items on the top shelf.I didn't really buy this to keep thieves from stealing the guns. I bought this to keep little hands out. I know I am preaching to the choir...but security is best done in layers. This safe is just one layer of keeping folks safe. Awareness, respect, location and notification of safe being opened are all part of the layers.

they'd just as easily run off with the whole thing
Exceptional little safe for the price. You'll hear a million people talk about how you can break into these with a paper clip etc., but that is the case with any safe under $400 or so. These smaller safes are designed to deter people, especially your own kids, from getting to things. If someone was in your house long enough to break into your safe, they'd just as easily run off with the whole thing. That being said, this safe is well built, sturdy, spacious, and has all the necessary bells and whistles like an option to turn the keypad sound off and a shelf insert with a shelf pad. I highly recommend it. Buy with confidence.

Great value
Great value for the price. Useful to lock up any dangerous item besides guns, such as medication. I lag bolted mine to the studs in the wall.

Very disappointed
The size of this safe was perfect for what we needed. Another family member has one and they love theirs.Ours arrive without any instructions, key, combination and the handle appeared to have been damaged by a hammer. There was no paper work included on who / where to call.

Perfect fit!
I was given this safe as a gift for Christmas, and I absolutely love it.Its perfect for small firearms, cash, jewelry and things of that nature, this size is also great to fit on a shelf in a closet which is exactly where I put mine. The operation is great, and seems well built....to get full security out of this it would be best to firmly anchor it down

Overpriced/Prime Comparison
Product itself is great. My bf sent me the link to purchase since I have prime, I clicked it and my price vs his price were about $40 different. Different seller and delivery date. All because I pay $15 for prime and he doesn’t.

Not a gun safe, it's a security box to keep your kids out of personal stuff.
After owning this safe for almost 5 years, I'm going to go ahead and give it 5 stars. Obviously, the model has changed a little bit over the years, but it has been a great security Box! The only problem I ever had was the battery Box cluster failed within a year. I went to Radio Shack and replaced it with a similar one (see pic), and I have had smooth sailing ever since.

Internal battery compartment...dead battery with your contents inside
For some bizarre reason the battery compartment is inside this safe. And this thing manages to drain your batteries rather quickly and gives you no warning of low battery, meaning suddenly all of your stuff will just be locked inside one day.The safe comes with a key, but what is the point of having a combo safe in your house if you have to keep a key to the safe somewhere in your house with it? Totally ruins the point. Not to mention I've lost my keys, and stack-on charges a ridiculous $20 + shipping to send a replacement. I guess they know they can charge whatever they want with people desperate to get their valuables out of their safe that has a dead battery.Luckily (heh) as other people have posted this safe is VERY easy to break into. I used the trick that many have mentioned here and was able to open the safe without the key or combo. Though I'm not sure being able to easily break into the safe to get around the horrible design flaw that traps your stuff inside isn't exactly a glowing thing to say.
