Fantastic work shoe!
These shoes are fantastic! I am on my feet for most of the day at work and I work in an animal shelter where the floors can be wet and slippery. Not a good combination when a strong dog is at the other end of the leash! I have had Keen work shoes in the past and while searching on the site I found these shoes with a no-slip sole. They were comfortable from the get-go, my feet are not sore or tired after a day of work and they have tremendous ankle support and are very stable. They aren't the most attractive shoes, but if you don't care about that and need a safe, extremely comfortable shoe, these fit the bill. I also tested them on a wet floor and they did not slip.

Stiff but comfortable
I bought these on sale for less than $90. I was really surprised, there was no real "break in" period with these shoes. They are stiff, yes. It almost felt like they were on the wrong foot at first but once tied and standing, they were fine. I am no longer in food service but I am still standing and walking 10 hrs a day. The insole is not soft or cushiony and there is very little arch support. I have ordered heel cushions and there is room for arch support if I wish. My feet don't hurt but the heel cushions will make things a bit more comfortable. The skid resistance is a blessing since I am constantly back and forth from concrete to ceramic tile, wet to dry inside & outside. Being confident that I will not slip and fall makes the whole day better. I have only had these a couple weeks. If things change, I will edit this review.

Comfortable
I love these keens for kitchen work. On my feet 8hrs plus 5 days a week and they haven't failed me yet. Greasy and wet floors? No problem. Before I found these, I was replacing a popular brand every 6 months. I got 14 months out of my last pair of these keens, and they still look good. Others have mentioned that they run small, but they're a perfect fit for my size 7.One drawback, (other than having to break them in a small bit) are the insoles...total crap. I use arch 2000 by 10 seconds. Life changer for me, no more achy legs and tired feet!

Roomy toe box, shallow side wall, no arch support
I'm medium on these. First off, it's no lie, definitely order a full size up- even with the wide toe box they run small. But I do appreciate the room in the toe box, so on that score they're good. But what I'm not fond of or don't quite understand is why the well of the heel is so shallow. It feel like my heels threaten to pop out at any minute. And somehow, it also doesn't feel like the shoe is lined up anatomically to my foot.At first I thought the high seating was due to the insert pad it came with, so I pulled them out and tried my prescription orthotics (I'm flat footed), a Dr. Scholl's gel insert, even an insert from another Keen shoe- none of them seemed to match up to where my arch should be, so the result is feeling like I'm riding high, pitching forward, and not getting the arch support I need.I have another pair of older slip resistant Keens of a different model that fit like a dream but were falling apart, and this was never a problem. I have a pair of outdoor hiking Keens that I love and feel like clouds! I don't know what it is with this model, but I never had the leg and foot pain from my other Keens that I do from this pair. The only saving grace is the fact that the toe box doesn't trouble my bunions, but I don't think these would be my top choice if I ordered another pair of work Keens again.

No Arch Support
I have Keen sandals & hiking boots that I love but these are uncomfortable. The heel is too high and doesn't offer any arch support for my relatively high arch. After about 4 hrs in these, I want them off!By week 2, the stitching between the toe & sides came apart but I think it was just decorative rather than necessary. On the plus side, the low padded ankle is nice (it doesn't dig into the heel) & they work well in slippery conditions.

Disappointing
Keen must have changed their shoes somehow. I have purchased previous pairs of these shoes and been very happy with the comfort level. This time however was a very different experience. The foot bed itself feels like they put a board in for cushioning and they are very tight. I would say that that keens are no longer worth the money. Back to the drawing board for comfortable work shoes

Cofortable Durability
I spend 12 plus hours a day on concrete walking up to nine miles. I needed a work shoe that would not break down quickly, one that my orthopedic insert would fit into AND one that would not slip on wet surfaces. This is the shoe for me. I needed a wider toe box which Keen's are known for and am pleased with this model. My job requires black leather and must be non slip. Bingo. Nice utility type shoe which meets all my requirements AND not bad looking for a work shoe. I've spent much more in the past on other shoes only to be disappointed with their durability and longevity of use. Love this shoe.

Quality, comfortable and attractive
Awesome work shoe! High-level of comfort, design and quality. Wore these everyday for a few years and stood the test of time (no pun intended). Worth the money for the shoes you get. Great slip-resistance sole and how comfortable they were! Looked nice and stylish too!
